My Lively October

Hello everyone! Today, I wanted to share a few fun things I’ve been up to in October!

I love to share my hobbies and updates on them in this post! So here we go!

My Lively

Creative Fun

DIYs

I’m writing this a bit early so the only craft project I did was Frightfully Fringed Ghosts! It was a project that was a yarn wall hanging where we tied white yarn onto a stick for the ghost then cut out the facial features from sticky felt. I really enjoyed this project as it was pretty simple and fun!

Bujo

I have had so much bujo stuff lately! I already set up most of November and some of December, as well as started planning my 2023 bujo too. The 2023 one will be totally different so I’m excited for that! But I have come to the realization that I need to include my monthly calendars earlier than I have been as I have really been planning stuff out far in advance and need to be more organized that way. I am excited for these changes!

Entertainment

Books

As always, I’m listing all the books I’ve finished since the previous Lively post below with their star ratings. All thoughts on them are saved for future (or even past!) Mini Book Review posts but those will be linked below if so. I won’t include any books that I didn’t finish although I’ll be sure to add them into the review posts.

Also, I started a Bookstagram! Find me under @StarringPamelaReads on Instagram!

This month I read 14 books, and including another three from last month.

  • All the Light We Cannot See
  • Come Fly the World
  • Carrie Soto is Back
  • Alexander Hamilton
  • Meet Me on Love Lane
  • Cover Story
  • Lessons in Chemistry
  • Velvet was the Night
  • Daisy Jones & The Six
  • Washington: A Life
  • Ghostland
  • The Little Ghost Who Was A Quilt
  • Alma and How She Got Her Name
  • Washington: A Life
  • Milo Imagines the World

Movies

I watched Wedding Season on Netflix! It was a fun rom-com of two Indian characters who had their biodata set up by their overbearing parents. The two agree to meet up, don’t hit it off, but pretend to be together to have some peace during the wedding season. Of course, they do end up enjoying spending time together until a few revelations threaten their budding relationship. I really enjoyed the film and it was so fun! I did think it was funny how the mom was so eager to have her daughters marry whoever they wanted, but they had to get married. It was a cute film and I really enjoyed it!

I also watched Luckiest Girl Alive. I really liked the film! It was so dark but so good. I loved the way the story was told in flashbacks and how it all came together. The main character goes through various traumatic experiences as a child, leading to a school shooting that she was suspected of knowing about beforehand. As the story unfolds, we find out why she was accused and how hard she has tried to put her past behind her, only for it to continue to follow her. I know this movie was based on a book, so I do want to read it eventually.

I also watched the new comedy special Ilisa Shlesinger: Hot Forever. I found it hilarious! Her comedy specials are always fun and I liked her approach to this one.

TV Shows

This month I finally finished season one of Selling the OC. It’s a tad too much drama for me, and the cast is just so weird! I feel like the agents really are there for just the show and drama while the original Sunset group was (supposedly) actually employed even before the show.

I also started the first season of Designing Miami. I really enjoy this show! I love that the two business owners are married and in different stages of their business too. It’s so fun to watch!

I did also start El Rey. It’s interesting enough, and it’s been enjoyable but I haven’t made much progress yet.

Music, Musicals, & Concerts

Oh, and I started the first few episodes of season 3 of Love is Blind! Okay this show is an absolute train wreck but I can’t look away! I just find it absolutely wild that people go for this show!

And from my usual shows, I did watch Gilmore Girls A Year in the Life, Madam Secretary, and Community.

Music

I have been listening to mostly Red (Taylor’s Version) and, of course, Midnights.

YouTube

For YouTube I have a giant list of what I’ve been watching so here’s some highlights! I’ve been enjoying some ballet and jazz videos, Safiya Nygaard, Michelle Khare, and fall cozy vlogs. I also did keep an eye on that Try Guys scandal still and I would say the two videos they did for Broadway were incredible even though they had that major scandal around them! Oh, and The Morning Toast!

Active Life

Walks

This month has been hit and miss for walks! On one hand, the month started and seems to be ending with pretty nice weather so Foxy and I will go for a nice walk. But in the middle of the month it was much too cold for Foxy! I have started to go down to my basement and walk in small laps for exercise though!

Ballet/Jazz

I’ve really been enjoying my dance classes! We just finished up the first fall session and are about to start the second, so it’s exciting! I think ballet is mostly the same people but no clue about jazz!

So that’s what I’ve been up to lately!

Thanks for reading!
