September 2022 Coffee Chat

Hello everyone! Today, I thought we’d catch up over coffee!

Today, I’m going to treat myself to a pumpkin spice latte, because it’s pumpkin spice season!

If we were having coffee I’d tell you, how I felt about last month. Honestly, August was pretty nice. Unexpected things kept coming up but it wasn’t anything that couldn’t be resolved thank goodness. But it was a mix of things like one day I’d be going to yoga at sunrise on the beach and another I’d find myself dog sitting for a friend. It was fun, unexpected, and a pretty good month overall.

If we were having coffee I’d tell you, how much I enjoyed that sunrise yoga class! I had to miss the others for various reasons but I loved doing a class with other people. And doing yoga on the beach was amazing! The sand did make it a bit trickier but it was still a lot of fun. The people weren’t too friendly to be honest but that could be because it was literally 6:30 in the morning.

If we were having coffee I’d tell you, how excited I am to be going to Mexico for the first time in over two years! The last time I went was January 2020. While I could have gone before this, I just didn’t want to make the trip and risk anything. Now though, I’m totally excited although I will be wearing the N95 mask for sure. I think the thing I am looking forward to the most after seeing my grandfather and other family is the food! I’m excited!

If we were having coffee I’d tell you, I’m in a bit of a reading slump! I just haven’t read as much in the past week or so when I’m writing this and it’s kind of wild since that’s usually my go-to activity! Either way, I love that I have read so much and honestly a break now and again isn’t the worst.

If we were having coffee I’d tell you, all about how I really need to buy a new laptop soon. My old one is now about 12 years old and it really is on its last legs. I had the hardware replaced once a few years ago, but it’s got to the point where it constantly reminds me that I need to update the operating software yet when I try to do so it says my laptop is too old to update! I suppose I don’t need a laptop necessarily, but it’s helpful from time to time so I am thinking about it. Although, to be honest, I mostly used it to blog and now I’m doing that on my phone.

If we were having coffee I’d tell you, work is good! I am so happy to be taking time off though. I also made it to my one year anniversary at work last month, which was so cool! It feels both like I’ve just started and also like I’ve been working there forever!

If we were having coffee I’d tell you, Foxy has been such a good boy lately and I’m so proud of him! His one year anniversary of being a member of our family is this month, and I can’t believe it has been such a wild year!

If we were having coffee I’d tell you, about my monthly challenge update! Last month I focused on being more mindful. I did really enjoy that goal! I found myself more present when I was at sunrise yoga and when I was out on walks with my pup, so it was a lovely goal for a lovely month.

If we were having coffee I’d tell you, that I think I’m doing very well at creating inspiration in my life. First and foremost, I would say sunrise yoga would definitely be one of those things but also my two week vacation from work! I like being able to fit these fun things in where I can!

If we were having coffee I’d tell you, about my other goal, again, but better. I don’t think I’ve had many opportunities to do things again this month! For the most part, everything has been fairly new to me this month but I have tried to take lessons I’ve learned before and apply them going forward.

So that’s my update for the month! Let me know what you would tell me for our coffee chat!

Thanks for reading!

Pamela
