My Monthly Challenge Pt. 2 – Goodbye Workouts, Hello Water

Hello everyone! Today, I wanted to give an update on my monthly challenge for March and introducing my new challenge for April.

The idea for a monthly challenge came from social media, where you basically pick an activity and commit to doing it every day. Here’s my latest on the monthly challenges!


March’s Monthly Challenge – Workouts

It feels weird to say I’m done with the workout challenge, because I certainly don’t want to stop working out! I will say though, it’s a lot easier to skip workouts now that it’s not a specific goal to complete it daily. For March, I did manage to workout almost every day! I think I ended up not working out maybe two total days.

For the most part, the workout consisted of either a short walk outside with my dog, who hates walks with an intense passion, or a longer walk but indoors and solo, by walking around my basement. There was also the weekly ballet class, although I did skip some classes due to bad weather and spring break occurred in March, so I made up for it by walking instead. Overall, it was a very productive month for working out!

April’s Monthly Challenge – Drink More Water

April’s monthly challenge will be to drink more water. This was suggested in a past monthly challenge post, so see? I do listen to suggestions! I wanted to do this for a few reasons. One, I’d love to get back into the habit of drinking more water. I do notice I get more headaches and just feel so sluggish when I slack off on drinking water. Another thing is that I am getting more active as the weather gets better, so it’s important to stay hydrated.

My goal is to drink about 96 ounces of water a day. I have a 32 oz. cup from Starbucks (not sponsored) that I drink from so that’s three of those every day. I’m hoping to stick to a sort of routine of 1 32 oz. cup in the morning before lunch, another in the afternoon after lunch but before I clock out, and the third in the evening after work. I think this should be very doable although I’ll admit I am writing this in early April and have already not done this for the first three days because I didn’t think this challenge through until then. Whoops! I’ll make up for it by (hopefully) meeting the goal for the rest of the month I’m sure.


So that’s my update on my monthly challenge! I already have one for May, but do still need ideas for the rest of the year, so leave the ideas below if you have any for me!
