My Instagram Top Nine Blogmas 2020

Hello everyone! As per Blogmas tradition here on this blog, I wanted to share my Instagram top nine!

I haven’t really seen anyone do their top nines on Instagram and it could be for a variety of reasons. One, I don’t spend much time on Instagram lately so maybe I’m missing them. Two, maybe I’m too early in posting this. Three, maybe no one really cares because there’s so much crazy this year! But I wanted to share mine anyway.

Also, as you can see, I’m doing Blogmas again this year! That means I’ll be blogging every day until Christmas. I’ve done Blogmas in 201620172018, and 2019 so I am happy to be participating again in 2020.

My Instagram Top Nine 2020

Now, to be honest I didn’t post that much on Instagram this year. I took a ton of breaks because there just wasn’t a lot of interesting stuff to share on my end. Plus, I find myself becoming a more private person on social media. (I know, that’s weird coming from someone who writes a lifestyle blog and does posts like Thursday Tales!) Even so, here’s what my top nine looks like!

I was surprised how the top posts were pretty much grouped into three groups of three each. It made for an easy categorization and they were all photos I really enjoyed taking too!

The top three posts were baking posts! In order, the spiced oatmeal cookies were the top liked post. They were followed by the M&M cookies and the alfajores. All were delicious and I’m thrilled my hobby made it in.

The next three photos were Mexico travel posts. I went back in January/February this year before the quarantine started in the US. The first two of those photos were taken at a natural water park in Morelos, Mexico. It was a gorgeous day trip from Mexico City and we had such a lovely family day swimming and enjoying views. I loved that trip. The third one of this group was a photo I took while walking around a small town in Michoacan, Mexico. Those flowers were just too cute and matched my top!

The last three I would put into a final category of “home”. Sure, baking could fit into this category too but this one I feel is separate. My puppy niece made it into my top nine! That little cutie! There’s also my little desk shelf on there. And finally, a beach photo I took at the beach near my house on the shores of Lake Michigan!

I wasn’t super surprised at the top photos but I was surprised by what I felt was missing in a way. Normally there’s some photos from work, some ballet mirror shots, and some Chicago days. Of course, none of that happened as I was furloughed, ballet is only virtual now, and I haven’t seen Chicago all year except from the plane window. But even though it’s “missing” I’m grateful for what I was able to experience and enjoy.

Let me know which of the top nine photos was your favorite! Did you like any of them on my Insta earlier this year?

Thanks for reading!

Pamela
