Hello everyone! Welcome to BirthMay 2020! Today I wanted to share an updated list of musicals I want to see.

Or see again! The last time I did this was in 2017 so I figured it was time for an updated post on this. In case you’re new, I really enjoy going to see musicals. I find it to be so relaxing!
In case you’re new, BirthMay is my annual birthday celebration where I blog every day for the month of May. This is the fourth annual BirthMay and no matter how many BirthMays you’ve been here for, thank you for your support!
Musicals that I did see
To start, here’s a list of musicals that had been on that list and that I did see (not including the ones listed from my subscription to Broadway in Chicago at that time). If I did a review on them then they’ll be linked below too!
Musicals I want to see
Anything with a plus sign (+) is a new addition to this list. Anything with a star (*) is a musical I’d love to see again and it’ll be linked to the original review if I did do one on this blog. Note, not every musical made this round so keep that in mind.
- In the Heights
- Come From Away +
- Anything Goes
- Be More Chill *
- The Devil Wears Prada +
- Six the Musical +
- Frozen +
- Fun Home
- Jesus Christ Super Star
- Harry Potter and the Cursed Child (which is not a musical but I would put it on musical level in terms of how badly I want to see it)
- Evita
- Singin’ In the Rain *
- Beauty and the Beast *
- The Phantom of the Opera *
- Love Never Dies +*
- Hamilton *
- Hadestown +
- Romeo and Juliet * (ballet, but I thought I’d put this on here anyway)
So those are all the musicals I would want to see! I didn’t explain why in the original post so I didn’t in this one either but basically my reasons involve usually the music and/or the story. Let me know if any of these musicals are on your list too!
Thanks for reading!
Pamela

For a huge Musical fan, I have only been to the theatre once! I really want to change this and explore some of the musicals on your list. X

I hope you do start visiting the theatre more once you’re able to! It’s so much fun and amazing to see productions live on stage. 🙂 What was the show you saw when you previously went to the theatre? I’m curious!
