Hello everyone! Today I wanted to share my product empties for the season.

For some background, I’m trying to use up products that I have because I actually have so much stuff stored that I need to get to. Since I don’t like to have lots of opened products since they go bad, I figured I’d get to using everything. So here’s what I’ve used up!

---

Beauty

Make Up

I have a ton of make up stuff that I was going to include but I might make a separate “unclutter” post for those because they’re not “empty” and this is an empties post! So I used up a trial size of the Benefit Fake Up Concealer in 02 Medium. I did like this concealer just fine at first but I feel like it went bad pretty quickly, even though it was a trial sized item. I wouldn’t repurchase because of that, as well as the fact that I have a lot of concealers and also that I didn’t love it.

Skin Care

I used up a few items in this category! First, is a trial size of Tarte Amazonian Clay Mask. I did actually love the smell of this mask. I also liked it a lot because it would dry quickly and so it was fast to use. I don’t think I would repurchase but mostly because I have a ton of masks to use up still.

I used up a travel size of the Drunk Elephant Protini Polypeptide Cream. I really liked this night cream and the size was perfect for travel! I would probably repurchase this although I know this brand is on the pricier size so that would likely be the only thing that would stop me and get me to find an alternative on my next Sephora visit.

I used one of my KNC Beauty Lip Masks. I got a pack of five of them from a FabFitFun box (I’ve since cancelled my subscription). It was very strange as the mask just was very rubbery. It was fine, but I wouldn’t repurchase as I don’t think it really had any lasting effect.

Lastly for this category, I used the Clean & Clear Night Relaxing Jelly Eye sheet mask. It was strange as it was only half a face mask but it was fine. I actually don’t really like sheet masks but I would get a ton from past subscriptions (this one might have come from a Target one?) so I do use them from time to time. Since I don’t like sheet masks, I wouldn’t repurchase.

Bath & Body Items

I have the Thann Aromatherapy Shampoo and Conditioner. I never, ever use hotel items but I adore the Thann products that the Marriott Marquis in Houston uses, so I always take as many of these items that I can get my hands on (sorry Marriott but also love you). They just smell SO GOOD and are such a treat to use. The hand soap is actually my favorite but the shampoo and conditioner are amazing too. I have been told that I can buy them at Ulta I believe but I haven’t actually looked for them. I am supposed to go to Houston and stay at the Marriott Marquis again in April so I’m excited to stock up again!

Food & Snacks

I always forget to save snack packagings so these are just some of the snacks I did remember to save. First up is some Nutella Cookies. I went to a nutella crepes store in downtown Chicago and got these cookies there. I forget what they’re officially named but they were really tasty!

For Valentine’s Day I enjoyed a bar of Whitman’s Solid Milk Chocolate, that a lovely friend gave me. I forgot to ask her if I could name her in my post so I won’t (just in case) but it was very sweet of her to do that!

Lastly, I finished off a bag of Morelianas, a Mexican caramel candy that I love. I should have bought more packets as each one only has 5 so I’ll have to remember that for next time.

Health Items

I used two toothpastes. One is the Colgate Total Toothpaste and the other is a travel size of Sensodyne Pro-Namel Toothpaste. They were both fine I suppose, but not my favorites. I just didn’t feel like they really did much for freshness and neither really did a ton of help for whitening. They were fine though.

Since I got a cold after Houston in January I resorted to using medicine as I had my Mexico trip shortly after. I finished up a bag of the Halls Triple Soothing Action Cough Drops. I like these quite a bit as I do love cough drops. I really like the honey lemon flavor too so when I bought a new bag I also got that same flavor, although I think I got a store brand and not Halls specifically. (I can’t quite recall and I gave them to my mom when she got sick after we got to Mexico!)

I also finished the Spring Valley Echinacea & Goldenseal Extract Blend Dietary Supplement. I got it after I finished a goldenseal supplement, which I was told would help overall immune health. I couldn’t find goldenseal only but I was told when I mentioned this last time by a lovely person who left me a comment that echinacea was helpful too. I’ve already replaced this one with just echinacea since I still can’t find goldenseal anymore.

Misc.

I don’t go through candles very quickly but I finished up a Bath & Body Works Aromatherapy Stress Relief Eucalyptus Spearmint Scented Candle. I really enjoyed this scent, and actually so did my parents. I put this one in my home office and mostly lit it while working because that’s when I needed it. Funnily enough, I got it from work, as it was part of a spa basket I won at a holiday party years ago. I had to borrow the lid off the jar for another candle that doesn’t have one so it was the gift that kept on giving for sure.

I finished an aromatherapy spray too, the Templespa Quietude Calming mist. I got it from a friend who got a box of goodies from a hotel contact of hers to share around the office. I also used this one mostly at work because STRESS.

I had to say goodbye to my Sephora Beauty on the Fly travel bag. It’s the perfect size for TSA but I have to get rid of it because it did break apart and split open, so it doesn’t really keep items in anymore. I am so sad as I had to switch to a normal zip lock bag instead of this cute bag for my last trip but I don’t see a point of going to get another one just because of how it looks. Ah well!

So those are my empties for the 2020 winter season! It feels good going into spring with an empty, empty basket, ready to be filled up with new empties!
