My Fall/Winter Nighttime Skin Care

Hello everyone! Today I wanted to share my fall/winter nighttime skin care!

I know it’s technically still fall but in Chicago it’s pretty much winter already so I’ve had to change up my skin care sooner. Am I happy about it? Absolutely not. I am still going to use it for a blog post because I am completely out of ideas this month? You bet your bottom dollar that I absolutely will. Here’s what I’m using!

my fall/winter skin care

I’m just sharing my nighttime routine as my daytime still hasn’t changed. I’m trying to use up my daytime moisturizer (the same Coola with SPF) before getting a new one.

So first up I clean off my face with the L’Oreal Ideal Clean Foaming Gel Cleanser. I really feel like my face ends up super clean after using this cleanser which I was pleasantly surprised by. I just always feel like drugstore products aren’t that great but this cleanser is great!

After the cleanser I follow up with the Oriflame Love Nature Tea Tree Face Toner. I actually bought this in Mexico from one of my cousins who sells for Oriflame (much like a Mary Kay in the US). I like the toner a lot, and I’m not surprised as my skin responds well to tea tree products. Plus it feels and smells so good!

I follow that up with my serums, which I use the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair. I have the original and the eye formulas. They’re a little old so I’m worried the original bottle might actually be expired but I only have a few drops left for the original so I’m working through it anyway. Don’t follow my example on that! I don’t think it’s quite the right product for me but I do want to use it up before switching to another serum.

To my serum I add the Cosmedix Pure C Mixing Crystals, which I got in my last Fall FabFitFun box. As you can see, I popped the lid off as it had a rotating one that just didn’t let me really access the product. I use a little spatula to get the product out now. I don’t really think I notice it doing much but it is cool to use.

After the serum and crystals I move onto my night moisturizer! I use the Drunk Elephant Protini Polypeptide Cream and the Clinque Pep-Start Eye Cream. I do like both of these! The Drunk Elephant cream is so soothing and smooth, and it’s really rich and moisturizing. It’s also very expensive so I’m not sure if I’ll purchase full size but this is part of the travel kit and I do think I’d repurchase that for when I fly because planes do dry out my skin a bit. Also, I generally don’t like Clinque products. I’ve tried them multiple times but just haven’t found one I like! The eye cream though I do enjoy although I likely would try something else next because I just don’t enjoy the brand as a whole.

When my skin needs some extra help I love to use the Generation Clay Ultra Violet Brightening Purple Clay Mask which I got from my last Summer FabFitFun box! I really enjoy using this product as it goes on purple and as it dries it goes more lilac-grey. It leaves my skin feeling so smooth and refreshed so I really look forward to using this mask. I normally use it as a self care treat at the end of the week or over the weekend about once a week and it’s lovely!

That’s really all I have for you today! I hope you enjoyed reading about my nighttime skin care routine for this fall/winter and let me know if you use any of the same products!

Thanks for reading!

Pamela

  1. Lol. I LOVE your honesty! And girl I am with you! It is freezing here! AND we have snow! Bitterness at the bitter cold aside (couldn’t resist sorry!) I loved reading about your skincare routine for the colder months! I hope you stay warm! ā¤
