Hello everyone! Today, let’s grab a coffee and have a chat, shall we?

Today I’m having the “Cinderella” drink from Starbucks! It’s a custom drink where you order the Pumpkin Spice Latte but replace half of the pumps of pumpkin spice with white chocolate! Perfect for fall!
If we were having coffee I’d tell you, that my washing machine is fully broken. So about a month and a half ago I was doing laundry and the water spilled out. We ran it again though and it worked just fine so we figured it was a one time thing but my parents were planning to replace it soon just in case. Well, it finally stopped working entirely after spilling water everywhere again and so now they’ve bought a new one and it’ll be here Wednesday. Thank goodness because I thought I’d have to start wearing my Christmas sweater early!
If we were having coffee I’d tell you, that I was very sad to realize my library did not have the same writing contest as last year. Last year they held a contest in October and split it for teens and adults. I won 3rd place for adults and I was hoping to be able to enter again this year but it was only open for teens. What a bummer! I also didn’t plan for NaNoWriMo this year so I think I’m going to skip it again this year.
If we were having coffee I’d tell you, I’m redecorating my bathroom! I just randomly started buying stuff for it so I won’t be done for awhile but I was thinking I should do a post on it when I’m done. What do you think?
If we were having coffee I’d tell you, that work has been… disappointing. Unfortunately it doesn’t seem that much was done about the girl that verbally harassed me and I really had to fight to make sure that at least something was done. It was also really apparent how different I’m treated at work from other people. For example, this girl complained about another coworker months ago and she was kept up to date on the entire discipline process. After that coworker was written up she went around the office bragging to everyone that she was able to get that coworker written up. But then she attacked me and HR started claiming “confidentiality”. Well, of course, I had to point out the irony of it all and how suspicious it was that I wasn’t getting the same updates that she did. HR then freaked out and said that shouldn’t have happened and would look into that separately but I got no closure on it. The only think I know for sure is that they did talk to her about it because suddenly her entire attitude is completely different and she suddenly has an urgency to answer my emails. It’s disappointing for sure but that’s a silver lining!
If we were having coffee I’d tell you, HOW MUCH I HATE SNOW. It decided to snow on Halloween and I hate it so, so much. Sure, it looks pretty but makes everything so much more complicated, namely leaving your own house. The struggle is real.
If we were having coffee I’d tell you, sorry that I skipped my Wednesday post this past week! My original idea didn’t end up working out how I wanted it to so I scrapped it. It was last minute so instead of scrambling I decided to just skip that one. Hopefully I can get all the November posts up!
If we were having coffee I’d tell you, that I did end up putting up a decent ofrenda for Day of the Dead! We were missing a lot of stuff because it’s just hard to find the right flowers where I am and other things but overall I think we did a good job at it and gave it a good effort.
If we were having coffee I’d tell you, that the only downside to working from home is that I don’t drink nearly enough water. It’s so much easier to remember to drink plenty of water at the office for some reason and walk around too but at home because there’s no distractions I really don’t drink enough water or get up nearly as often. I’ll have to work on that in the coming weeks!
If we were having coffee I’d tell you, that I think in October I really nailed the balance goal! I felt that I needed some fun weekends, so I did go to a musical one weekend and then I went to see my sister and meet my new puppy niece for some excitement but also spent a lot of time resting up and recharging on weekends. I’ve also signed up for more fun stuff at my library and so I’ve been trying to keep busy instead of just doing nothing after work is done for the day. It’s really a game changer to stay busy so that’s great! Even though now the snow has started so now I’ll be stuck at home. Guess it’s time to take up all my hobbies I can do at home!
If we were having coffee I’d tell you, that this month has been the most positive that I’ve had in awhile and I’m so thrilled! I think it’s mainly due to being able to avoid the negative people that I usually am surrounded with (working from home does wonders for my mental health in this regard, that’s for sure) so I am going to try to keep that up going forward.
So that’s what I’d share if we were having coffee! Let me know what you’d share with me. I’d love to know!
Thanks for reading!

Sorry to hear about your work situation, hope everything gets sorted and you’re kept up to date! I’m the opposite of you, I find it easy to remember to drink at home but I get so busy at work sometimes I don’t have time to drink 😛

You always know all the cool Starbucks drinks! I’m curious what the Cinderella would taste like now! I tried the Blueberry Iced Tea & loved it, thanks to you! 😁
Sorry they didn’t open up the writing contest for adults at your library this year, that’s such a bummer! & I’m glad the girl at your work has started changing her attitude a bit. Annoying that you aren’t get the same treatment as she did when she complained though.
You gotta get the waterbottle that beeps at you when you aren’t drinking enough water for the day lol, that should help you when you work at home?
So happy to hear this month has been such a positive one!! 💖 Hope it only got better & better throughout.

My friend told me about the Cinderella drink! So really it’s just because of her this time haha!
And I was disappointed too but I think because two librarians ran it last year and I have the suspicion that they probably didn’t want to have so many to read this year or maybe they’ll split it out and have one for adults later? I’m not sure but I know there’s plenty of writing contests I could enter if I wasn’t so lazy and would look them up! And right! I pointed that out soooo many times and still they refused. Honestly, I’m used to being treated differently because for some reason they always hold me to the highest standards where I have to toe the line and everyone else can do whatever they want. It’s so frustrating!
I had one that would light up if I wasn’t drinking enough water that I got as a gift at work but the sensor never really worked great and then I think it got loose because I opened and closed it so much so it might have gotten water inside. It broke completely a few months ago so now I don’t use it anymore but it was cool to have!
And thank you! I always appreciate positive thoughts the most and you always are the most positive person ever!!!

Still! You always hear about the Starbucks drinks first lol!
Ah, that makes total sense about the librarians not wanting to read so many. Adults probably write waaaay longer stories. It makes sense that you’d sign up at your library though, totally a hassle if you have to look elsewhere for a contest! & that really is frustrating, I’m so sorry you aren’t treated fairly at work. 😡 That makes me so mad!
OH!! LOL my bad. YOU are the one I heard about the water bottle from!
❤ ❤ aw yay!! I try hard to be lol. Sending you all the positive love & energy!!

Hahaha, we just have that Starbucks addiction!
And I know, I think they were likely overwhelmed by all the stories last year and the librarians who ran it focus mostly on teens so I’m guessing that’s also why they made that call. I’m sad about it but I think I’ll ask them about it next time I see them and maybe they can do an adult one separate. And I know… I get so mad when I see unfairness! But I low key think that’s why they are doing it because they know it bugs me. Even so, I’m not backing down so we’ll see who gets tired first!
Hahaha am I?? LOL I was like wait I had one like that!!
Omggggg thank you and right back at you with the love and positivity and energy!!!!

I love it 😀 I am always curious to see what drinks people are ordering at Starbucks. Hopefully you can get the librarians to open a contest for adults only, maybe at a separate time! I love that you aren’t backing down at work, too! You deserve to be treated fairly– they will get tired first, they will have to realize they’re wrong some day!
LOL I can’t believe I suggested something you told me about to you! So sorry!
