Hello everyone! Today, let’s grab some coffee and have a chat!

I’m having the Starbucks Guava White Tea Lemonade today! It’s a new drink and I recommend doing half the sweetener with it.
If we were having coffee I’d tell you, I just booked a fun trip with my sister and one of her friends! I don’t want to say where just yet but it’s on the east coast this time! The trip is in August and we already have so many fun plans. It’s a place where I have been to before but only during a layover for about two hours, so I barely had time to hop on a bus from one airport to the other. I’m super excited though!!!
If we were having coffee I’d tell you, I finally made my first sale on Poshmark! I had a shirt listed for maybe a two months or so, and I’d long ago stopped regularly updating my closet and sharing since I just lost interest after not selling anything. However, out of the blue I got a notification from the app saying I had 45mins to accept or decline an offer on a shirt. I normally delete the notifications without reading them so I don’t know if I missed an initial one earlier (I hope so because 45mins to make a decision is way too short!) but I reviewed it, accepted it, and then when I got home I immediately got it ready to ship. Poshmark emailed the shipping label so I just had to print it and get it on the box. I wrote a thank you note and wrapped the shirt in tissue before taping it all shut. Then the next day I stopped at the post office and sent it off! After a few days the buyer accepted the shirt and that was that! I didn’t make a lot from the sale as it was a lower priced item that I have listed but a sale is a sale! I do want to start putting stuff up again since it does seem to sell, just slowly.
If we were having coffee I’d tell you, I’ve been taking more naps and I’m not really a fan. It usually happens on weekend afternoons, particularly after I’ve worked with my dad. Usually we’ll get home after working and I go straight to a shower. After that I end up watching YouTube videos in bed to rest and then end up drifting off to sleep! Then at night I have trouble falling asleep because even though I need more sleep I feel rested. I do need to stop myself from getting into bed then!
If we were having coffee I’d tell you, that I’m preparing for my work trip next week! I really wish I’d extended that trip by one day at least but it’s too late now… Hopefully I still have time to explore where I’ll be. Have I officially said where yet? If not, I’m heading to Anaheim, California for five days! I’ve never been to Cali before so I’m super excited! I’m really excited for the event itself too. I doubt I’ll see much of it as I’m going to be working in a remote location relative to the event this time but it should be fun!
If we were having coffee I’d tell you, I’m changing my blog schedule! I’ve been blogging twice a week for awhile, but I’ve decided to shift to blogging once a week now. It seems weird I’m reducing the number of posts instead of increasing because the original reason for reducing was school and I’d intended to go back to blogging five times a week after school when I made the change. Now, however, I just don’t feel like I want to go back to that schedule. I could keep the two posts a week but, I’m just not really feeling it at the moment. I feel that one post a week is much better for me right now! I’m going to post on Sundays, so this will be the final Wednesday post (for now!). I’m thinking if I ever feel like I have more to share I will also post on Wednesdays, but it will be a bonus post, not a regular one!
If we were having coffee I’d tell you, I’m also dropping certain posts from my routine. I’m still keeping these coffee chat posts for the first post of the month, and then doing a life recap at the end of the month. I am not going to do the Lively or Favorites anymore. I have enjoyed doing them in the past but now I don’t like writing them as much as I used to and find it so creatively limiting. I found myself feeling so limited at the end of the month and then delaying posts because of it. For example, if I did a trip at the middle of the month, I typically would have to delay my posts about it until the following month when I just wanted to share it right away. Hopefully this helps with flexibility for me and I feel like I can be more creative! I still update my Goodreads with the books I’ve read if you were interested in that and I’ll have to add a little more about my favorites whether it be make up, video games, or anything else in my other posts. For the most part the types of posts will be the same though!
If we were having coffee I’d tell you, that I had a song idea pop into my head last week while driving to work so randomly! Not an entire song but the chorus and melody did anyway. I worked on it a bit last weekend on my guitar and even though I’m such a beginner at guitar the music education I received in school (I played flute for over ten years from grade school through college) helped with the basics to kind of put more of it together. It’s been fun!
If we were having coffee I’d tell you, that I somehow picked two podcasts to listen to recently from YouTubers in their 30’s that just really struck a cord with me! The first one was Hannahlyze This “I Don’t Gotta Know: Life in Your 30s (ft. Tyler Oakley)” and the other Not Too Deep with Grace Helbig “Kandee Johnson – Beauty Mogul”. I recently turned 28 and everyone is always freaking out about how I’m “close to 30”. I can’t say I’ve completely avoided that feeling but for the most part I was a little confused about that general sentiment. Honestly, life keeps getting better and better so it didn’t seem like a bad thing but at the same time there’s always that pressure to do things while still “young”. However, all four people in the podcasts (Hannah Hart, Tyler, Grace, and Kandee) all agreed that in their 20’s they just felt like older children while in their 30’s they felt like proper young adults, and that’s exactly what I’ve been feeling like it is! I’m not 30 yet but I just felt that was so accurate so far. Glad to hear I’m not the only one!
If we were having coffee I’d tell you, I feel like I’m doing well with my balance goal. Especially in June I felt I did a good job of listening to myself and trying to understand what it is that my mind and body are asking for. At work we do a thing that we call “white space”, where you take an intentional pause in what you are doing to refresh your mind. I love to go outside of the office for a bit, sit by the little pond, and breathe some fresh air before going back to what I was up to. It’s great!
If we were having coffee I’d tell you, that I’m still working on being relentlessly positive. I feel like I can easily focus on the negative still but it’s much more balanced than it was before. In this goal, however, I want to be more positive so I’m still working on it!
So, what would you tell me if we were having coffee? Let me know!
Thanks for reading!
Pamela

I hope you love California and get a chance to see a bit of the coast. San Diego might be too far for you, but Venice Beach was a lot of fun. That is probably closer. I love Southern California so much.

Cali will be exciting!! hope you have fun. Also I totally get the mood of blogging only once a week, that’s me all over currently. I don’t know if its the lovely weather side tracking me, or just lack of motivation, but I’m enjoying only posting what I am 100% happy with and I hope the same applies to you 🙂

Cali was great! Thank you!!! And yes, I think for me it might be a mix of both of those reasons. And it’s great having more time to make something I’m really excited to post instead of rushing through it just to get something up for sure!
