2019 Spring Product Empties #BirthMay Day 15

Hi everyone! Today’s BirthMay post is going to be my spring product empties.

This is my third annual BirthMay! What is BirthMay, you ask? Well I blog every day in May because it’s my birth month! I started BirthMay in 2017 and did it again in 2018 so I knew I had to do it again this year.

This season’s empties are a little light, but I do have a lot of things nearly empty so hopefully I can get them done for the summer empties. Let’s get into these guys though!

Beauty – Make Up & Skin Care

I actually just have skin care items this time! First is a face mask. I used the My Beauty Diary Black Pearl Mask. I don’t quite recall which box I got this from but I want to say it was the Target Beauty Box. It was pretty good but I felt like I left a ton of product on the sheet because there was so much on it.

I also used up the Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Lip Balm with SPF 15. I did like it for a time but overall it’s not my favorite. I wouldn’t repurchase this one.

Health

First is the Crest 3D White Whitening Therapy Toothpaste. I love this toothpaste! It makes my teeth so white and my mouth feels so fresh. I’m currently using another toothpaste because I wanted to try something else but I can’t wait to go back to this one.

I also used up the Spring Valley Goldenseal Extract Dietary Supplement. It’s meant to promote immune health and while I don’t fully believe it’s doing anything besides being a placebo I did use it all up. One of my coworkers said she takes this the moment she feels she’s getting sick to avoid it and so I wanted to try it. Normally I’m sick a lot during the winter, especially after travelling. I luckily have avoided getting sick so I did repurchase another supplement with Goldenseal before my Texas trip just in case it was helping.

Food & Drink

I finished two Simple Loose Leaf Tea Company teas. I finished the Pan Fired Green Tea. I don’t really love green tea actually but it’s also good for immune boosting so when I felt a sore throat coming on I added a ton of honey to this one. It seems to have worked! I honestly don’t think I would have been able to drink it without the honey though.

I also finished the Rusty Roots Rooibos Tea. I actually really loved this one! It was more flavorful and spicy so that’s what I appreciated about it. It also had orange so that was a great additional little taste!

I forgot to get a photo of it but I finished the Simple Mills Farmhouse Cheddar Almond Flour Crackers. A classmate brought boxes one night in Sales this semester because she works for the company. I loved them! I’m so happy she shared them with us and I’m totally going to look for more.

I also finished a bag of Terri Lynn Inc. Natural Almonds. They’re one of my favorite snacks but it can be hard to find just plain almonds! And when I can it’s typically pretty expensive but I did find this one at Walmart I believe it was. I will probably repurchase this soon.

Bath

I used up the four Ginger Lily Farms Botanicals Therapy Fizzy Bomb bath bombs. There was one lavender, rose, vanilla, and eucalyptus. I honestly loved all four scents and they were all great. They were a little small and the fizz did go away pretty quickly so that was a downside but the scents were amazing!

Home

I used up two candles finally! The first one was Muggle Library Candles The Sorting. This candle went viral last year when a magazine featured it. I’d already wanted one so I figured I should get one anyway! It’s a hand poured soy candle and described as “excitement, fear, and nervousness”. The idea is that the candle is inspired by the Sorting Hat in the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling so the wax is white but as you burn it the wax turns into the color of the house you’re “sorted” into. I bought it off Etsy but I had to preorder it, so I had bought it in January of last year (or maybe even December 2017) but didn’t get it until springtime. Because it was so popular the shop owner had quite the waiting list! I did love the scent and I got my house – Ravenclaw! Unfortunately mine didn’t burn as bright blue though, it looked more purple for a bit and then the bottom was just a white. I think it was just mine though because my friend Erin also got one and didn’t have issues and I bought one for a gift to my sister who also didn’t have that problem. Oh well!

I also used up the Bath & Body Works Dolce Scented Candle. I think it was a little sweet for me (vanilla and caramel) but it was mostly used over the holidays so it was nice. I finally did finish it off this season, just in time to move onto another scent!

So those are my empties for this spring! I’m so happy that I was able to use so many bigger items like that candle and I hope that I can finish off a ton more in the summer.

Thanks for reading!

    • Omg after I ran out of my goldenseal I couldn’t find it on it’s own anymore and got it with echinacea. Good thing I did! And I’m actually getting over a cold now and I’m convinced I managed to get rid of it without actual cold medicine because of this!

  1. I’m sad I had to cut out my tea subscription cause we started saving even more for our future house, but hopefully I can get back to it once we settle in! I loved getting different teas every month 😋

    • They were so fun but I still have so many and haven’t gotten them for months! Clearly it’s too much for just me haha but I really hope you’re able to get it again once you have your house!!!

  2. Hmm… that Goldenseal stuff sounds interesting. I’ve never heard of it before! & green tea is actually my fave lol. 😛 I don’t know how you only eat so little snacks each season. I’d have so many wrappers, empty bags, & boxes!! How cool that you got your house color when you lit the HP candle, too!
