Hello everyone! Today I thought I’d share my winter product empties with you.

I’m trying to do these seasonally for two main reasons. One, is to make sure I use up more items that I have rather than buy more. I have an accumulation of items, so getting rid of stuff is important to make more space. Two, is so that they don’t stack up too much! Since I’m actively trying to use up stuff then it does tend to overflow on my little box but for the most part doing these posts seasonally tends to keep it under control. Here’s what I’ve used up this winter.

Beauty
Make Up
I’m finally saying goodbye to my Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation. I have a tiny bit left but I know that it’s way expired, plus it might not even be enough for a full application or for the pump to get to. I really loved it when I had it, shade 5.0, but I don’t think it would work for me anymore as I like really light foundations now.
A sample I used up was the Benefit Stay Flawless 15-Hour Primer. This is one I’ve had a while so I don’t even know if the full sizes are even available anymore but it wasn’t my favorite so I didn’t look it up. I didn’t hate it, but I just feel as if I don’t love it then I just won’t buy it either way.
Another foundation I’m saying goodbye to is the Laura Mercier Smooth Finish Flawless Fluide Foundation. I had it in Dusk and, like the Urban Decay, I think it wouldn’t work so well for me anymore since it is more full coverage but I did enjoy it when I had it.
I finished up the Benefit Porefessional. This is another item that I liked but don’t like anymore. Clearly, I did a clean out of some of my older products and used up what I could!
The Benefit Majorette Blush isn’t really an empty but it’s quite old and the color has changed so I think it’s expired. Time to throw it out! I did love the color and the scent, so I’m sad I didn’t actually finish it.
I didn’t really like the Boscia B.B. Cream but it was a tiny sample so I did power through and use it up.
Since mascaras tend to collect bacteria, I try to change out my mascara every season. I have decided to throw out my NYX Worth the Hype. I really enjoyed it but it’s time to get rid of it for sure.
The last makeup sample I used is the BareMinerals Prime Time Eyelid Primer. I remember I did like this but I don’t actually wear a lot of eyeshadow anymore. When I do I use the Urban Decay primer that I currently have so I won’t seek this out, and I’m not even sure it’s on sale anymore either!
Skin Care
As usual, I have used up a pack of the Up & Up Basic Cotton Rounds. This was a 300 count pack. I try not to use them too often anymore because it is wasteful but they’re very useful for when I want to use some toner or something like that.
I used the Manetit Lily Whitening & Brightening sheet mask. I did like it quite a bit and it was such a great self-care item.
I also used a Pure Radiance Charcoal Nose Pore Strip with Charcoal & Witch Hazel Extract. My mom got this for me after a family member in Mexico said charcoal strips would help me with my black spots on my nose. First of all, how rude. Second of all, she was right, charcoal does help. I liked it and I hope to try to find it somewhere near me.
Alas, I used up a pack of Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes. I try not to use them so much as they’re wasteful but they do come in handy so I typically have a pack that I use sparingly. Right now I don’t have one, but they would be useful for when I get home very, very late from school. However, I find that washing my face doesn’t take that long so I’m trying to avoid the temptation.
One of the samples I used up was The Body Shop Tea Tree Pore Minimiser. My skin loves tea tree but this just wasn’t my favorite. It was a little too smelly and slippery for me.
I’m so sad to have used up my Drunk Elephant Beste Jelly Cleanser. I am considering buying a full size, although this brand is a little pricey. I really loved everything about it though, so it might be worth it!
I finally used up the Garnier Skin Active Gentle Sulfate-Free Cleanser. I got it free for review purposes from Influenster. I would say it was pretty good, and did last forever, but I’m one of those people that loves skin care for the experience (does that sound weird?). Since I wasn’t wowed by it and it took forever to use up I think I got kind of sick of it.
Another sample I used up was the Honest Beauty Refreshingly Clean Gel Cleanser. I liked it and I actually would consider buying this one instead of the Drunk Elephant one depending on how much they each are. This one is definitely more budget friendly.
I finally finished the Estee Lauder Take It Away Makeup Remover Lotion. It’s nice but I didn’t really like the lotion part of it, so I won’t be buying this full size.
A sample of the Vasanti BrightenUp Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator Exfoliating Cleanser was also used up by yours truly. I liked it but didn’t love it, so I likely won’t seek this one out in the future.
I did like the La Roche-Posay Hydrating Gentle Cleanser but it wasn’t my favorite either so I likely won’t seek it out.
Body Care
I used up the eos Shave Cream for Sensitive skin. I also got this from Influenster for free for review purposes previously. I didn’t hate it but also didn’t really enjoy it and I don’t use shaving cream that much anyway. I won’t be purchasing this myself but it wasn’t so bad.
This next little item I got at a hotel during my stay last year in Houston. It’s the Thann Orange & Tangerine Hand Wash. I absolutely love this hand wash, mostly because of the scent. I really enjoyed it and I do miss it. Hopefully I get another when I go again next month.
I finished up the Tom’s of Maine Whole Care Anticavity Fluoride Toothpaste in Peppermint. I did like it at first but it’s not my favorite anymore so I haven’t repurchased it since.
Hair Care
I used up an entire bottle of the Suave Essentials Sun-Ripened Strawberry Conditioner. I don’t use conditioner very often so they last me a long time. Typically for every 2 or so shampoos I use one conditioner.
I finished up the Dove Fresh Coconut Dry Shampoo as well. I try not to use dry shampoo too much, but this one was so nice to use! I really loved the scent, as it just felt like my bathroom was so tropical when I used it. I might buy a full size of it if I ever use up my current stock.
Home
I finished the Ellen Tracy Coconut Cream Candle. I can’t remember where I bought it at anymore. I would have guessed TJ Maxx but I don’t see the sticker anywhere, unless I took it off. Anyway, I normally don’t like coconut but this was a great scent and I enjoyed it. I guess coconut as a scent is something I do like!
I also finished a Glade winter candle. I don’t remember what the scent was called anymore as I got it in a pack maybe two years ago and threw it out after I used the first one up. It wasn’t my favorite and I could never get it to burn evenly so I don’t buy these candles anymore.
Food & Drink
My parents got me a pack of Godiva Milk Chocolate Caramel Lion of Belgium for Three King’s Day. They were chocolates filled with caramel, so they were delicious!
I used up one of my teas! I had the Simple Loose Leaf Northern Garden tea. I love berry teas and this one had many different kinds, so it was one of my favorites. I really enjoyed it and I’m sorry to see it go.
Bonus: Empties from Mexico

I figured I’d share the empties that I had in Mexico separately, as I got a photo of them before I left to not have to haul garbage back to the US with me. Some of the items weren’t fully empty but I left them with my mom so she could use it up and get rid of it when she was done with them.
First, I used up the Thann Shampoo and Conditioner that I got at the same hotel as the hand wash (Marriott Marquis Houston). I liked them a lot! I know I said I don’t use conditioner often but it came in so handly for Tolantongo when I was in Mexico.
I left the Colgate Enamel Health Toothpaste with my mom as I didn’t use it all up completely but didn’t want to have to bring it back. It was great and I’m glad I had a familiar toothpaste! It’s one of those things that it’s just weird to have a different product to use.
I used about half of the Soap & Glory Clean on Me Body Wash. I left the rest for my mom to use up, and we both really enjoyed it! I have a ton of body wash but if I go through my stash I might look to buy this one.
Lastly, I left her with the No 7 Beautiful Skin Quick Thinking Wipes. These are face towelettes as well. Since we were travelling it was easier to have face wipes for whenever we needed them. I still prefer the Neutrogena ones, but these were great for on the road too.
So I’m off to throw everything into either my trash bin or the bag of recyclables to finally make space for my next round of empties. I also have some unfinished products but I’m going to save those for another post.
Thanks for reading!

I love micellar water! I always use cleanser first though and then try to remember to follow it with micellar water haha. Sometimes it doesn’t happen though to be honest! And I love empties too, it’s so fun to see what everyone has used up!

Hahaha, don’t you hate but love how family members are so honest? 😂 I have some black spots on my nose, too. I think I need to try those charcoal strips!
I just got the mini Drunk Elephant duo with the cleanser! I can’t wait to use it! & I know what you mean about getting bored of using the same thing. I get the same way. 😛
