If We Were Having Coffee – March 2019

Hello everyone! Today, let’s have a coffee chat, okay?

if we were having coffee march 2019

Today I’m having a refresher from Starbucks actually. I can’t quite recall what it is but I think it was a passionfruit one? It was good! So grab a drink and let’s chat!

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you all about how I met my favorite animal, the beluga whale! If you follow me on Instagram (StarringPamela there), you’ll have seen some of my photos already. I wrote a post on the encounter that is scheduled for next week Wednesday so please stop by and read it if you’re curious to hear about it and see more beluga photos than what I posted on Insta already. I’m so excited for everyone to read it!

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that I had been thinking of starting a second blog after I’m done with school! That blog would be in the Spanish language so I could practice a bit more and better my writing skills. However, I might just do both languages in each post. I’ve seen someone do that before and so I think that would be fun. What do you think?

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that I’m looking forward to my next trip! Houston, Texas, here I come! I go to Houston once a year for work and we’re starting to get everything set for the travel. I’m excited and looking forward to seeing Houston again! Typically every year I’ve done the same type of posts but I’m hoping to try and come up with something different. The thing is, being onsite for an event means long days and nights are usually for relaxing before the next day, so it can’t be anything too involved! We shall see what this year brings in April.

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that I’m so excited for spring! I’ve almost gotten all of BirthMay scheduled (I blog every day in May for my birthday and call it BirthMay) so that’s a huge relief. I’m going to start writing those posts soon too. Oh! I do have three days where I’m not sure what I’m writing yet so if you want to collab, let me know!!! Plus graduation is coming up, the weather will get nicer, and the aforementioned Houston trip is coming. Spring is just good to me.

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you more about my MBA journey. I am not doing a mid-semester update because the semester is only 8 weeks long, and this is already the halfway point! However I will say it’s going pretty well and I have really enjoyed it so far. It’s my last one, so I’m trying to enjoy every racing minute of it.

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that I’ve had a great time working on my positivity. Recently I decided that I was going to be relentlessly positive and that’s exactly what I’ve been doing. It’s not always easy, in fact it’s quite exhausting, but it’s already had such an amazing effect on my brain. I feel happier and that makes me think it’s so, so worth it!

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that I really feel like I need another vacation already! It feels so long since I’ve been away and it’s only been a little over a month. Ha! But I am planning something now, and hopefully it happens!

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that since I’m still planning on moving away from Illinois, I’ve really been thinking about my “Chicago Bucket List”. I already did one thing on it, doing the beluga encounter, but I have so many more things on it that I really want to get to before I move someday. I really need to share that on my blog at some point, since that would be fun to track too!

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that I’m feeling hyper aware of my goal to “get it done”. Every year for my birthday I pick one major goal to work on (sort of like a New Year’s Resolution but better) and for year 27 of my life, it’s been to get stuff done. I really feel like I’ve been doing well, but lately I know I need to get my focus back and remember my goal again. May is coming so I need to make sure I have this down in a couple of months before the next goal!

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that I want to hear all about how your February went and all your plans for March.

So, what would you tell me if we were having coffee?

Thanks for reading!

  1. That is sooo exciting you met a beluga whale!! I will have to go check it out on your Instagram too. Starting a Spanish blog sounds like an awesome idea! What an amazing way to practice the language! Soo many fun things coming up- love the positive energy going in Spring! I made a San Francisco bucket list, and it really has helped me be more intentional with getting things done here- I’d love to see your Chicago one 🙂 Have a great week, Pamela & thanks for the update!!

  2. That’s cool that you’re thinking of starting another blog in Spanish! You could also incorporate it in this blog as well as a starter, see how it goes for you 😀 Also, it’s crazy to think that May is only two months away already! It’s crazy to think that 2019 is starting to speed up 🙂

    • Thank you Angela! You’re right, I could try it here first! Also, I really can’t think of a name for the Spanish blog so might as well get some practice in first haha! And I know, I can’t believe time has gone so fast! (Also sorry for the super late response!)

  4. So exciting that you met a beluga whale! Starting a Spanish blog is such a cool idea 😊 I actually used to have family who lived out in Houston but they’ve moved now otherwise we probably would’ve gone to visit them there xx

    • Omg, meeting a beluga whale was one of the best experiences of my life! I haven’t started a Spanish blog yet, but I really need to think of a name for it! And Houston is a great city, although I don’t think I would have ever thought to visit without a reason to either so makes sense!
