If we were having coffee, I’d tell you how I’m super excited for my trip to Mexico this month! I’ll be gone for two weeks in Mexico and I’ll be sure to share my trip with you next month in my posts. So if you don’t see me reply to your comments for a bit or you notice I haven’t caught up on your blog for a bit this month, you’ll know why! (Although I do that a lot so I’m sure you wouldn’t be surprised!) Since I’ll be gone for two weeks without a laptop and without a reliable internet connection I am going to schedule posts for the time I’ll be gone ahead of time, but I will post about my trip in February when I return and have done all my usual posts. Oh, I’d also mention how stressful packing is.

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that I’m really looking forward to all the new changes the year will bring. I have a feeling that my life will look a lot different by 2020, so I can’t wait to see how it’ll go! Plus I just learned that 2019 is going to be the “year of theatre” in Chicago, so I’m super excited about that!

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you how lovely the holidays were for me! I got to spend so much time with my sister, which is always nice since she moved out and I do miss her. My parents are great but they don’t get all my jokes all the time! I do think she was surprised at how seriously my goal to move to Texas has become, so at least now she’s more prepared for it.

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that the world is so much cooler now that I got Netflix and YouTube set up on my PS4. It’s a game changer for sure now that I can have it on and not worry about charging my iPad and looking at the tiny screen all the time. I’ve been watching 7 Days Out on Netfix and it’s so intense watching it on a larger screen. Watching vlogs on YouTube though is a little strange.

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that my eye prescription hasn’t changed again! Well, my contacts haven’t, but my glasses did. I didn’t get new glasses though because at close to -8.00 prescription for glasses they’re quite expensive with all the extra stuff to them. Anyway, the most surprising thing of all is that they had my contacts prescription, -7.00 for contacts, in the store! Normally they have to be shipped to me but they actually had them at the store so I got to take them home right away! Now I am just waiting on my rebate for the contacts, and that takes about a month to process so it’ll be a bit before I get it.

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that it seems like 2018 went by so fast that I really want to focus on enjoying 2019. At the end of the day, I am expecting a lot of changes but I want to enjoy the journey too. It feels like I sailed through those strange “I’m an adult but don’t really feel like one yet” years a little too eagerly and I sort of didn’t really enjoy that time. I’m now in my late 20s I suppose so I want to enjoy these last few years before I move onto the next stage in my life!

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that although I don’t do new year’s resolutions I do have one kind of goal that I’m doing. One of my coworkers and I decided that we’re going to try being nice to people. It’s not that we’re mean or anything, but if we’re in a bad mood we can get snippy so we’re going to work on that.

If we were having coffee, I’d ask you about your best money saving tips! I’m going to graduate this year with more debt than ever from school. My goal is to pay that off as soon as possible and still save money for a down payment for a home. I also want to start investing as I really haven’t done much beyond my 401k. Anyone have any amazing tips to share?

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that the break went by way too fast! It was about a week and a half off work (although I did work a few hours due to deadlines) so it was a nice break, but I feel like I barely had time to actually rest! I did, however, start that aforementioned packing, spend time with family, see two musicals, start writing an ebook, catch up on YouTube and Netflix, played video games, get a head start in my posts for when I’m gone, and so much more!
