My October Tea Box!

Hi everyone! Today I’m going to be sharing my October box from Simple Loose Leaf Tea. This is also my last box from them!  I have cancelled my subscription for this box as I really don’t drink as much tea as I thought I did and it was starting to pile up. Maybe if I finish it all then I’ll restart my subscription but for now I’ll try to get through what I have and then worry about that later!

September Teas

  • Karakundah Black
This tea was a very smooth black tea. The leaflet says there’s also orange in the tea but unfortunately I couldn’t taste it in mine. It was still pretty good though!
  • Pan Fired Green
This was not my favorite tea. I’ve learned I don’t like green tea as much as most people seem to! This tea had more of a simple and bland taste, it just wasn’t for me.
  • Evening Herbal
So I made this tea last night and then forgot to drink it until it was cold so I didn’t appreciate it as much as I could have but it was still really good so I can’t wait to have it when it’s still hot!
  • Northern Garden
This tea was pretty good, it was smooth and light, had a hint of sweetness, and the taste lingers.

October Teas

These are the new teas I’ve gotten in my October box. Since I normally reviewed the tea in the following post I’m not sure how I’ll review this one now. Ah well, here’s what I got!

  • Mao Zhen Hair Needle
This is a green tea so I can already tell it likely won’t be my favorite of the box. It has some crazy brewing tips too and seems way too involved. This is a Chinese tea with normal caffeine levels.
  • “OM” Herbal
This one sounds amazing! It says it has lemon grass, cinnamon, cardamom, and ginger root which all sound so good! This is actually a Turkish tea with no caffeine!
  • Rose Grey
I think I’ll like this one. It’s an earl grey with rose petals, lavender, and rosemary. It sounds really rich and like it’ll be amazing! It is a caffeinated tea from India.
  • Rusty Roots
This is a rooibos tea that has orange, cloves, peper, tumeric and the leaflet says it’s similar to a chai so I think I’ll like this one a lot! This tea originates from Africa and has no caffeine.

So that’s my October teas and a review of my September teas! I’m going to miss this box for sure!

Thanks for reading!

  1. Ooh this is such a cool idea! I love all subscription boxes, honestly 😂 They’re so fun and exciting!
I’ve only tried a few teas, and I stopped there because I found out I much prefer coffee. However, I did like peppermint tea 😍 and I should probably keep trying teas to see if I can find one I like!
“OM” Herbal sounds really good, honestly! I hope you like it! 😊

    • There are! It’s amazing! You can get the standard box or a decaf box and I think they added either one or two specific types of tea boxes recently (green or black teas only boxes I think). I loved them but I just don’t enough tea. They would make an amazing and fun gift though!
