My September Sephora Play Box!

Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing my Sephora Play Box for the month of September! I thought this box would be here earlier but alas, it was not so here we go with this post!

The theme this month is “Next-Gen Beauty” so it’s meant to be innovative trends in this month’s box. In other words I’m sure it’s just new products they want you to go out and buy rather than not really anything innovative. But I’m still interested to see what they’ve picked for “next-gen”!

As for the bag, I actually hated it at first. Why? Well I think it looks terrible and when I saw it I thought it was a joke. But I can see how it could be useful for like an airport bag though and actually the bag is meant to be environmentally friendly! It does say it’s 100% recyclable so that is great and I can get over the looks for that. I still don’t think it’s that cute and at this point I would prefer if they would do away with the bag completely actually as I don’t need more makeup bags but

Also, quick note. They used to customize these boxes before based on a quiz you would take when you signed up for the box. But lately I’ve noticed that a lot of unboxings have the same items and then when I went online they really only had one box listed as the possible box you could receive. I’m not sure when they stopped customizing them but it does make sense as they used to have to limit the people getting boxes to be able to customize them. However a big reason I used to get it was not only to try out the items but also to show what I got and see what different items others got. So I’m not sure I’ll continue to show them, I’ll have to think about it!

But for now, onto the box!

So it looks like the highlight of the box is meant to be the Peter Thomas Roth Hungarian Thermal Water Mineral-Rich Atomic Heat Mask. It seems interesting but I’m worried that it will be too much. I don’t have extremely sensitive skin but it’s can be easily irritated so I normally stick to sensitive skin products. I’m interested to see how this works!

I believe I got this before but I can’t quite recall as I must not have used it yet if I did. The next item is the Sunday Riley Tidal Brightening Enzyme Water Cream. It does say it “plumps” the skin which is not particularly what I want as I feel like my face is quite round right now already but ah well.

Now this next one is definitely not a new product but it is new to me! It’s the Too Faced Hangover Replenishing Face Primer. It’s hard to believe I haven’t tried this yet but I really haven’t so I can’t wait to see how I feel about it.

The next item is a “community chosen” item which I’m not sure how as I had no hand in choosing it but okay! It’s the Nudestix Intense Matte Lip + Cheek Pencil in Kiss. It’s a matte rosy pink and says it’s dual-purpose as it’s for both lips and cheeks.

For the mascara item, we’ve gotten the Sephora Collection LashCraft Big Volume Mascara in Black. I am excited to try it as I do love volume mascaras. I don’t think I’ve tried this either so that’s exciting.

Finally, the month’s bonus is the usual perfume. This time it’s the Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb Nectar. I am not sure if this is a new perfume but I believe it is! It does say online it’s a “warm & spicy” fragrance which sounds interesting but not really my favorite type of perfume. However it does sound perfect for fall!

And that’s my Sephora Play Box! Let me know if you got this box and what items you’re most excited to use!

Thanks for reading!

  1. That’s nice that the bag is recyclable but I agree with you that they should just stop making them! & I noticed that everyone gets the same couple box variations now, too! That’s so boring, isn’t it?!

Hope you enjoy everything you got! ♡
