My Shiseido Voxbox from Influenster!

Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing my Shiseido ModernMatte Powder Lipstick VoxBox from Influenster! Before I go on, I do want to let you know I received this free from Influenster for review purposes. I have had the great opportunity to get a few VoxBoxes (and a few virtual ones that I actually don’t participate in) and I love to show them off here. So let’s get into this one!

This box features the Shiseido ModernMatte Powder Lipstick in 516 Exotic Red. This lipstick is part of a new collection which I don’t seem to be able to find the name of? I looked at the card that came with the lipstick, the packaging, the article sent with my email saying I was getting this box, and even the product info on the Shiseido website but I can’t find it. Ah well. Either way the new collection seems to have 18 products and 114 shades between four categories of dews, gels, powders, and inks. The goal is that “visible feels invisible”, with the products being weightless but full of bold colors.

The lipstick does retail for $26 and is 4 grams of product (mine is a smaller size of 2.6 grams). It’s described as a scarlet red which I would agree with. It claims to be a non-drying matte red and claims to last 8 hours.

I haven’t tried it for 8 hours so I can’t attest to that claim but it is really lightweight! I don’t know if it would last that long as it doesn’t seem that transfer proof. However it is really easy to apply because of the bullet shape and goes on very smooth. It’s not that hard to cover up mistakes with concealer which usually with such a bold color it is but this was very nice.

Forgive the face, I’m still pretty sick so I had to edit the photo quite a bit to look somewhat decent. Also I’m just not that great at selfies!

So as for the lipstick, I really like it! I love reds, but never wear them anymore so this might be the return of the reds for me! I really like this shade and I do prefer matte lipsticks as it is so this is perfect! I snapped a friend (ma bestie Erin) just to get a second opinion and she did like it. She added that the color is perfect for fall and winter and she’s basically a makeup artist so if she says i’s perfect then it is!
