My Sephora Surprise!

Hi everyone! Today I wanted to show a lovely surprise I found when I opened up my last Sephora purchase. So this purchase was actually from back in May, as I had gone to find a few things for my mom for Mother’s Day. I had also bought something for my sister’s birthday present and a small something for myself as my birthday and finals week fell at that time too. (May is a hectic month for us!)

Well long story short, the lovely sales woman who helped me must have stuck a few things into the bag when I went to grab an extra item I’d nearly forgotten that I had wanted to get. We’d really had a great time shopping as she had helped me select a few items for my mom and we’d laughed as I told her I couldn’t get my mom a mascara called “Better than Sex”. (Although it turns out my mom really likes that mascara I’ve since learned so guess I’m going to get that for her for her birthday?)

I really wish I could remember her name as I forgot to do the survey after I got home and I really wanted to do that. Maybe I’ll see her next time I go!

So here’s a little haul for the items that I picked up for myself and the items she added in!

For myself I grabbed a rollerball of the Gucci Bloom perfume. I had a sample of it before which is how I knew I liked it. I do have to say that I’m annoyed it doesn’t come in a travel spray rather than a rollerball and it is quite large so I likely wouldn’t travel with it but I do still have the tiny spray sample bottle so I might try to just fill it up instead if needed.

The second item I picked up for myself was actually the Sephora birthday gift. There was a makeup and a skin care option but I think the skin care one was a brand that I don’t like or had an item I didn’t like so I went with the Bite Beauty set. The little kit had three items in it. The first was the Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Chai, which seems to be a redish-pink with some brown undertones in it. There is also the Matte Creme Lip Crayon in Glace, which is a sort of a nude pink with some purple undertones. And the last item is the Agave Lip Balm and the Agave Sugar Lip Scrub set. I really liked the gift this time around and I can’t wait to actually try these items now that I’ve actually opened it up to check it out..

As for the other items, it’s a bunch of perfume samples and a lip gloss that was in a plastic bag that the sales woman added to the bottom of the bag! The samples are:

  • Aerin Mediterranean Honey Suckle Perfume
  • Clean Reserve Rain Perfume
  • Versace Dylan Blue Perfume
  • Nest Fragrances Citrine Perfume
  • Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue Perfume
  • Yves Saint Laurent Mon Paris Perfume
  • Replica Lazy Sunday Morning Perfume
  • Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Patina

The only item I’ve tried so far from these is the YSL Mon Paris Perfume which I love. I’m excited to try the rest, which all sound amazing based on the scents listed in the packaging. I think the lipstick might be a little too light right now but maybe I can get use out of it in a few months when my summer tan has gone away.

So that’s my surprise Sephora haul! Let me know if you’ve tried any of these items and, if so, what you thought of them.

Thanks for reading!

  1. Oh wow she did give you so many samples! They usually only give me three. I also picked up that same birthday gift but haven’t tried any of the products yet! They all look so pretty, right?!

    • I know! I am so sad that I didn’t do the survey. If I remembered her name I would totally call the store and ask for a manager so I could still let them know how awesome she is. Hopefully I see her next time I’m in store.
