Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing my empties with you as they’re starting to pile up! They’re mostly beauty favorites such as makeup, skin care, or hair care but there’s also quite a few other random categories too.
Before I go on, Happy Independence Day! I am very much enjoying the day off with plenty of cleaning up my office, bedroom, and moving onto the bathroom after writing this post and starting the next paper I have for homework. My mom and I were going to go to Six Flags but decided to do that over the weekend instead. I really wish that we had the entire week off but I suppose I should be happy to get the holiday off as many people don’t such as nurses, police, amusement park operators, and more.
I keep saying to my coworkers that if we get the entire week off to celebrate the birth of Jesus we should get the week off to celebrate the birth of our nation. Then someone usually points out that most companies don’t actually close for an entire week for Christmas (our company only does it because the founders of the original company did that and they’ve chosen to keep it). I can’t imagine not having the week off though!
Okay, onto the empties!
I finally finished an entire bottle of the Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray. I’ve already repurchased two bottles as they were nearly the same price as a single at Sephora. I love this spray and use it typically everyday.
Next is the Benefit Big Easy BB Cream in 04 Beige. I had thought I’d finished it but it turns out there was actually a little bit left that came out once I violently smacked it. But now it seems it’s really finished so it’s time to say goodbye to it. I do have another tube that is almost out as well so expect to see that one soon. I do really like this product so I might repurchase later on but for now I have a lot of drugstore foundations that are light-medium coverage that I enjoy and want to use up.
I also used up a travel sized tube of the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer in Sand. This is like the Benefit one where I had a bit left if I attacked it but it’s all out now. I’m almost through another one that I had bought because I wasn’t sure if this would last for a trip so you might see this again sometime.
The final makeup empty is Make Up For Ever Excessive Lash Mascara. This was a favorite for awhile but I’ve had better mascaras since then. I also felt that it dried out much more quickly but that might be because it’s a very small sample.
Skin Care Empties
I did use a sheet mask, it’s the Masque Bar Wrinkle Reducing Sheet Mask. It was pretty good but like most sheet masks I feel that I would need to use them more often to really get benefits from it.
The next two items are makeup remover wipes. One is the Honest Beauty Refreshingly Clean wipes and the other is the Neutrogena Cleansing Hydrating Towelettes. Both are great, the Neutrogena ones are usually in my favorites but I also enjoyed the Honest Beauty ones. I felt that they were softer but did have a stronger fragrance.
Hair Care Empties
The first one in this category is a shampoo and conditioner sample set I received in one of my subscription boxes. I’m pretty sure it would have been a Target Beauty Box but I could be wrong. It’s the Clairol Hair Food Moisture Infused with Honey APricot Fragrance. I did like the scent but I didn’t care that much for the products ultimately. My hair is very picky and I can usually only do a daily clarifying shampoo and no conditioner.
The next two items are dry shampoos. First is the Batiste Dry Shampoo in Dark & Deep Brown. I loved this dry shampoo and have repurchased it already as well. The second is the Amika Perk Up Dry Shampoo. I was worried about this one as it was white and I have dark hair but I loved it a lot. It blended well and smelled great! The only thing with this one is that I think it’s pricier than other dry shampoos as I think it came in a Sephora box but I would consider repurchasing.
I finished up the Dove Dry Spray Invisible Antiperspirant, which I have already repurchased. I love this deodorant and have gone through quite a few of these.
Next is the Crest 3D White Toothpaste. I was using a natural toothpaste before but this one does noticeably whiten my teeth and I do love that. I have repurchased and do plan to continue to do so.
I used up the Bath & Body Works Endless Weekend Shower Gel. I really loved the scent as it was such a summer oriented smell. I don’t shop at B&BW as much anymore but I would probably pick another scent over this one as I like to try different ones.
The last personal care item is the Softsoap Peony & Plum Liquid Hand Soap. I love the smell of peonies so I like to get this soap. I haven’t repurchased as I have some hand soap samples from boxes but I probably will at some point.
This is a new category for me I think! So I don’t have all the empties but here’s some I did keep. I have the Icebreakers Ice Cubes Spearmint Sugar Free Gum. I have already repurchased in another flavor but I really enjoy this type of gum. I also have the Icebreakers Duo Sugar Free Mints in Grape. My friend John had strawberry ones that I quickly grew obsessed with and tried to steal (he caught me). I found two Grape ones at Target a few days later and bought them. I’ll have to check what other flavors there are next time I go as I forgot to check for those.
Thank you for letting me share my trash with you! I hope to have another empties post soon as my goal is to use up as many products as soon as possible as I’ve had some of them for quite some time! Ah well. Let me know what you’ve been using up lately. I’d love to know!
Happy Fourth of July!
