My June Life!

Hi everyone! So today I’m going to go through my June Life!

Now I do have to say normally I write these the night before and schedule to post the next day BUT today is the day of my company outing so I’m writing most of it before and then posting it after I get home tomorrow to try and get some of those photos in.

Oh but I am facing another dilemma. My “If We Were Having Coffee” post should be posted tomorrow but since it’s not the end of the month I won’t have my one second a day app fully updated for the month. So I can’t decide if I want to put it up Friday and not do the last few seconds in the video or wait until July 1st to put up a completed video. Any thoughts? I’m kinda leaning towards waiting until the 1st to do it!

First up was my trip to the Museum of Science and Industry! Link is posted there in case you missed my post on it. I really enjoyed how interactive and fun the museum was, especially the Science of Pixar exhibit!

I still can’t believe I saw the Reputation Stadium Tour with my very own eyeballs! I also talked about the concert in a previous post that I linked there. It was such a great concert and I am so, so happy I went to see it.

I also did a bit of exploring around downtown the next day before heading home. I walked around Millennium Park a bit in downtown Chicago and then headed to the Cultural Center for some art. There’s no such thing as too many museum visits!

I started ballet again this month for the summer! Unfortunately I’m missing today’s class due to the summer outing as my buddies and I had plans afterwards before I signed up for the class but I’m really excited for next week!

I made time for a Six Flags day! The weather around here has been crazy so naturally all the 90+ degree days are either stormy or I’m in class while the 75 degree days are on the days when I can make it to the park. Since it was in the 70s this past weekend my mom and I stuck to the coasters.

I went on the new ride “Mardi Gras Hangover” which is a Larsen loop type ride. I thought it was fun but not worth the hour long wait! In fact, it was probably longer still because I didn’t have my phone on me, I’d given it to my mom to hold as she refused to try it. I thought I had a photo of it now that it’s operational but I guess not! Above is one I took back in May when the area was still under construction. Anyway, the ride seats 32 and every teenager insists that they MUST ride with their significant other because HEAVEN FORBID they be separated for the two minutes they’re on the ride. Therefore the time in between each ride is at least 5 minutes, which is entirely too long in my opinion. Actually, it’s probably fair as most rides are around 2.5 minutes around the park and they have another car going while loading the next batch. This one is limited to one only. Overall, not worth the wait time but fun to experience at least once.

Look at me, I’ve turned into a roller coaster snob…

Okay, onto the company outing! I didn’t get photos of the actual outing because everyone was everywhere but it was fun! We went to a place with bowling, an arcade, and tons of other activities. I participated in water pong, laser tag, bags, and some moderate drinking. After that two friends and I left to go to mini golf as none of us wanted to deal with that rush hour traffic home. I lost miserably, but did get the top slot on the roulette of the last hole and won a free game! We need to go again now!

After that, we went to Red Robin for dinner and then we decided to go to the theater next door to go see Incredibles 2! I missed ballet because of that but it was worth it I think. Next week I’ll go back!

And that’s all I have for this month! Let me know what sorts of fun things you’ve been up to in June. And let’s keep our fingers crossed that our Julys will be an even better month, shall we?

Thanks for reading!

  1. I love museums! Totally agree that you can never visit too many! Have I mentioned that you & your sister look so much alike?! Wow! You are crazy for going on that ride lol I used to love roller coasters but I won’t get on them now, I’m all of a sudden a chicken!
Sounds like a fun outing with your co-workers! Did you love Incredibles 2?! Did they show the short film called Bao in the previews?!

    • No, that’s why I also love Mexico City so much. The city has soooo many museums and I love exploring them!
Haha everyone tells us we look so much alike and we love it!
You know, as I get older I think of my mortality so much more haha. I don’t blame you for avoiding coasters now!
Yes and yes! They were both sooooo good! I loved Bao so much and Incredibles 2 was so fun too!

      • How many years older is your sis? You both look super young!

I went on this extra terrifying water slide a couple years ago & I literally thought I passed out from fear so that’s why I am done with coasters LOL.

Yayay! Glad to hear you liked them both, too. 😀

      • She’s actually younger by three years! But she’s taller so everyone thinks she’s the older one 😂
