My Summer Bucket List! #BirthMay Day 26

Hi everyone! So for today I wanted to go ahead and do a bucket list. Specifically my summer bucket list!

I want to get so much done this summer so I thought putting it in a post would be the best option.

I feel like I probably forgot a ton of things, so I may have to update this later on! Let’s get into it! In no particular order, here’s my summer bucket list.

  • See a Cubs Game at Wrigley Field
I really want to go the a Cubs game this year so at some point I’ll try to plan something with my school friends.
  • See the “Underwater Beauty” exhibit that just opened at the Shedd Aquarium
My sister keeps snapchatting me this exhibit and it looks awesome! It just opened this weekend but she was able to go early so I’ve seen it through my little phone screen and I can’t wait to see it in real life!
  • See the Pixar exhibit that just opened at the Museum of Science and Industry
I just saw on Instagram of this exhibit from the MSI’s Insta and now I really want to go see it!
  • Strawberry Picking
I haven’t been strawberry picking in ages but there is a pick your own strawberry farm a few towns away from me that I really want to go to.
  • Go Grape Stomping
One of my work friends and I want to do this and so we looked up a few places. We haven’t picked one yet though!
  • Six Flags Great America
I always go to Six Flags anyway because I have a season pass but I haven’t been yet in 2018 so it needs to happen! I should be going tomorrow though.
  • Get an A in my Negotiations class
I think the reason for this is pretty self explanatory since you guys already know I’m a nerd! (And if you don’t know, now you know!)
  • Go to the Taylor Swift concert
I already have tickets so I better go but I’m just so excited to see the Taylor Swift Reputation Stadium Tour that I need to put it on the list!
  • Go to every ballet class
I signed up for ballet again this summer and since it’s only one hour per week my goal is to make it to every class. I think there are 7 or 8 sessions. But the issue is that
  • Go to Lollapalooza
This one actually might not happen this year because I want to save money and I think I would probably hate it anyway. I originally wanted to go to see Camilla Cabello on Thursday or Dua Lipa on Saturday (I think) but the thing is that I’ll already see Camilla at the TSwift concert and the Saturday General Admission tickets are sold out. I know maybe a total of five other artists and am not super into them so I think I might skip this one.
  • Start working on my dystopian novel
I want to start working on my novel either before or after my summer class. Or both! I really love this idea and have wanted to work on it since it came to me back in February but just hadn’t had the time.
  • Practice Guitar
So I have started to teach myself guitar. I already had a guitar and a few beginner books so I decided to give it a try. I’ve already run into the issue that the first string doesn’t tune properly as I can’t tighten it any more but the highest I can get it to tune to is a B. It’s supposed to be a high E, because the second string is already a B. However if I use the third fret when playing that string I can get the high E. But of course if I keep using that then I’m just going to learn wrong so I do really need to get that fixed.
  • Catch up on my Goodreads reading goal
I am 3 books currently behind schedule and I’m quite stressed about it! My goal is only 25 books and I’m struggling!

So that’s my summer bucket list! Do we share any items for our lists? Let me know!

Thanks for reading!

  1. I think it’s so cool you’re writing a novel! Taylor Swift would be awesome to see in concert, I used to be a fan in her early country days but not as much now. Strawberry picks sound so fun!

    • Thanks! I can’t wait to start writing the story, but I really need to outline first haha. I’m the opposite, I wasn’t really a fan while she was a country singer but love her music now. And strawberry picking is fun! But you need to make sure to plan ahead because too early and they’re not ripe enough, too late and everyone got the good ones already!

  2. Oh man, I’m starting to get behind my reading list too! I just can’t be bothered lately haha. I’m hoping to get back into it soon! That Pixar exhibit sounds like it would be so cool! I hope you get to go 😀

    • Hahaha I know! It’s just so hard sometimes! But hopefully we can get back to it. I hope to see the Pixar exhibit because it does seem like it’ll be a great time! I did love the Disney Animation one they had a few years ago!
