Hi everyone! Today I’m doing a super late post of the April Sephora Play Box I received. Why so late, you ask? Well because it arrived the week I was in Houston and I didn’t have time to do it when I came back until this week. So now you get a belated Play Box post! Lucky you!

I think that April’s theme was one of my least favorites, as it was about “insta beauty”. It gives a super long list of “must haves” for a social media account and so I wasn’t too impressed. Usually the themes are more inspiring  but ah well. The bag is very simple as well.

The first item I pulled out was the Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Protector in #8. This is listed as a new item. It seems to be a tinted moisturizer with SPF 25 which is perfect as summer is preparing to roll in (I think, it hasn’t really made up it’s mind yet).

Next is the Philosophy Purity Made Simple Moisturizer. This is also a new item. I don’t like Philosophy products so I’m not sure if I’ll bother trying this item. I might give this one away as I have a ton of moisturizers already.

I also received the Dr. Dennis Gross Ferulic + Retinol Wrinkle Recovery Peel. Besides the unappealing name it also comes with quite a strict list of instructions. You need to cleanse your skin, dry off, put on the mask and let it dry before moisturizing, then use sunscreen the next day. Just the laundry list of to-do’s is steering me away from this item.

There’s also an Urban Decay Hi-Fi Shine Ultra Cushion Lipgloss in SPL. This one is the last new item to appear in the box. It’s supposed to be super sparkly and plumping so not quite the everyday item I like to receive.

I’ve never tried an item from this next brand I don’t think. I received the Kiehl’s Powerful-Strength Line-Reducing Concentrate 12.5% Vitamin C. This is a surprising item and I was surprised it didn’t say it’s a new item as I don’t think I’ve heard of it. It says it might feel slightly warming when applied so it sounds interesting.

Lastly is the month’s bonus, as usual it’s a perfume. I received the Elizabeth and James Nirvana Bourbon perfume. I normally like the Nirvana perfumes but this one isn’t my favorite. I think my sister would like it so I’ll throw it into her birthday present.
