Hi everyone! Let’s grab a coffee and chat, shall we?
I quite like doing these on the first of the month, it seems like perfect timing! Today I’m going to have a strawberry acai refresher, which I didn’t take a picture of last time I had it but is a long time favorite.
So, let’s get to it!
If we were having coffee, I’d tell you how I finally switched out my closet! It’s hard to know when to do this because it was still snowing here two weeks ago and the days can be anywhere from the mid 30s to the mid 60s right now, but summer is getting closer and closer so I wanted to get this done. While doing this I finally started working on downsizing my closet. It’s harder to stick to only two bins of winter clothes because 1) I’m a hoarder and 2) they’re so bulky but I have it down to about two bins (and a few random bits that just don’t fit into the bin). I have managed to fill a box of clothing items that I no longer want to keep. And it’s a sizeable box. Maybe like three feet high. I’m not sure what I’m going to do with them yet but I’m thinking of maybe trying to sell them this summer after my spring classes end but before my summer class starts so I can try to get something out of them. Or perhaps my mom and I can finally do the yard sale she’s wanted to do for a few years. I’m not into the idea of just donating them since I can’t be sure they’ll actually be used but maybe I can give some items away too.
If we were having coffee, I’d tell you how exciting all the graduation items are that I see in stores! To think that this time next year I can finally buy all of the things I see is such a nice feeling. I saw a rubber duckie the other day with a graduation cap that said 2018 on it and I snapchatted it to my story about how I can’t wait to get one next year (as a joke kinda) and one of my classmates said she wanted one too. I told her I’d totally get us matching rubber duckies!
If we were having coffee, I’d tell you how the first floor of my office building now has a free gym (with showers and everything) as well as a cafe and an outdoor patio with a firepit. It looks so fancy and we’re so excited to use it. The food is also really well priced judging just from the menu and good, healthy options. I’m sure both the gym and the cafe will be really busy for the first month or so, but I do hope that we’ll be able to use the treadmills for our “lunch” breaks so we can get some cardio in!
If we were having coffee, I’d tell you how I am worried about the lack of progress my group has made on our final project. First of all, two of the group can barely bother to care about the classes. One of them missed at least four classes just because he booked trips (for fun) during the semester and the other skips class all the time and when he is in class he’s watching football on his laptop in the front row. As for the third team member and I? We do care about our grades but are each way too busy to do the work of four people. Luckily the first two seem to finally understand that this is for a grade and have started reaching out to help. The guy who keeps booking trips is super annoying though. He thinks he’s really funny and keeps trying to make “jokes” about how I’m “ignoring” him and winking at me. Clearly no one has had him sit through a code of conduct training. The other one will just randomly email and say “I wanted to make sure you guys know I intend to pull my weight” which is not the same as 1) actually pulling his weight and 2) being able to pull his own weight. So we shall see.
If we were having coffee, I’d tell you how strange the Hogwarts Mystery mobile game app is. I mean, I love it but sometimes when I exit the app the music keeps playing so I have to open the app again and close it again. I’m not sure if that’s an everyone issue or just Android, or just me. Who knows! Anyway, Ava is having a grand old time with her friends Rowan and Ben. She’s had one conversation with Penny and the app says Penny is supposed to be friends with Ava later in the story and I can’t wait because I’m a Ravenclaw with a ton of Hufflepuff friends so Ava can be a Ravenclaw with Penny as her Hufflepuff friend! Of course, it is slow going because I refuse to pay actual money to play a moblie game so I’m having to wait a long time to get more in-game energy to continue the story. It takes about an hour and forty five minutes each time so it’s very slow progress.
If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that although I love to travel I’m so happy to be home. It’s nice to be able to prop up against all my pillows in my pjs, grab a blanket and my laptop, and write out a few blog posts. It’s nice to have a relaxing day (although they tend to give me headaches strangely enough).
If we were having coffee, I’d tell you how there was a very sad event that occurred to my family in Mexico that resulted in one of my cousin’s young children to pass away. The entire family is of course upset and even angry as it was preventable but at the end of the day I wish I was able to be there to comfort them. Since my family is in the US they don’t often tell us when things happen, my mom only heard about it because her sister called about one of my other cousin’s singing (as she sung a song at the funeral) and my mom told me after I’d returned from Houston. I’m quite sad as I remember small interactions with the little toddler who was incredibly cute and sweet, and the reason I want to post a bit about it is to remind anyone out there that children need to be watched carefully, especially around water.
If we were having coffee, I’d tell you how even though I organized my closet, my bathroom and office are a mess, and I still need to do laundry. So some things on my to-do list are definitely more important to me than others I suppose. Speaking of laundry, I’m going to take a quick break to go put my clothes in the wash. Okay I’m back!
If we were having coffee, I’d tell you how I’m thinking it’s time to really get into a workout routine sometime soon. I’d rather do it through classes or a gym as I don’t really have a space I could work out at home. I mean, the house is big but it’s not my house so I don’t have the ability to designate one space as a “work out” space and my parents’ work out space is on a concrete floor in the basement because they don’t worry about the impact like I do so I don’t really want to do that. Maybe I’ll be able to use the gym in the office or join the gym where I took ballet classes last year. Any other ideas, let me know!
If we were having coffee, I’d tell you it’s BirthMay! Last year for BirthMay I posted every day of the month as my birthday is May 12th. This year I’m attempting to do the same but considering how I can barely keep up with my 3 posts a week plan I’m not making any promises. I’ll post as much as I can though and hopefully will have at least a small post up each day. Hooray for BirthMay!
So that’s what I would talk about if we were having coffee. What would you tell me? Let me know in the comments!
Thanks for reading!

The music keeps playing when I close the Harry potter app sometimes and then I have to open it again and close it again. I really enjoy the app but it’s just annoying to wait so long to finish a lesson. The weather has been crazy here too. Last week it was so hot and now it’s freezing again and cloudy xx

I thought it was just happening to me because no one was saying anything about that on Twitter! I just finished Year 1 and already I have to wait to continue Year 2 because I used all my energy to finish Year 1… Sigh.

Have you tried the Hibiscus refresher?! I just love it! I need to switch out my closet too! I just have it all mixed together right now. That’s so funny about the rubber duckies because my boyfriend just won me a pink one from one of the claw machines at the mall haha! & that gym & café at your work sounds SO NICE!! I hope that group project turns out okay in the end!! That’s super creepy about your HP game. That has not happened to me with the music still playing… eek!! & Oh my gosh… I am so so sorry to hear about your cousin’s child. ❤
Hooray for BirthMay! Looking forward to see what you post. 😀

I have but a looooong time ago so I need to try that again then! I normally stop in on Friday mornings for a treat so I think that’s what I’ll get! I still have a ton of sweaters because it’ll still be chilly this month and then I plan to stuff them into a box when it’s really nice. Awwwww that’s so cute that he won you a pink duckie! The new cafe is seriously the best. I think I’m going to need to sit on the patio at my house more but I looked up comfy chairs and they’re expensive! $300 for a freaking chair??? So far I think we’re going to do well but only because two of us are doing all the work. The game is super strange that it does that but I just close it completely after I’m done or reopen it and close it again. And thank you, she’s unfortunately not doing well but she is getting a lot of help with many doctors which I’m happy she’s able to get.
I’m so happy that BirthMay is back although it reminds me of my mortality as I age haha! But a coworker told me today I look like I’m 18 so hey, I’ll take it. 😀

You can always go to the thrift store or IKEA for a patio chair! Maybe you’ll find a cheaper one!? 😀 From the photos I’ve seen of you, you def could pull off saying you were 18!!

Omg yeah I could try that! Like, I am NOT spending that kind of money on a chair! I’ll totally check IKEA and start checking thrift stores. We have a swing that my mom bought but it kinda makes me motion sick if I sit on it too long…
And THANK YOU! 😀 You’re so sweet to say I could pull off 18 haha!

I remember having issues with group projects like that. Admittedly I think it only happened to me like twice in all the group projects I’ve done but still, I feel your pain!

Yeah, you know, I think I’m just cursed with bad groups! I always get at least one person that doesn’t do their fair share of the work! But I have no problem not giving them their share of the credit though. I once left off a classmate’s name from the group powerpoint on purpose although he and the teacher got mad at me for it. But he’d done zero work for it! And it was an in class assignment! Grrrrrr.
