My April Favorites!

Hi everyone! So it’s time for my April favorites! It feels like I don’t have favorites this month because I think I’m just not sure what I’ve even liked!

I mean I do, but this month went by so fast that I can’t recall if I tried stuff this month or last month haha.

Although I can tell you something that is my least favorite. Having to take my car to the mechanic because it’s making a weird noise. I guess that when I was gone this week some animal got into my car somehow and tried to create a home in the fan in my car so it was making noise and the mechanic totally judged me for it. He also judged me because I may or may not have said that I drive over 65 miles per hour sometimes (if you’re law enforcement I 100% did not say this and totes don’t do that).

So onto the favorites!

So the first item is from a pasts FabFitFun box, the Ahava Deadsea Water Mineral Hand Cream. I love how it smells and it isn’t overpowering. I really love it and I’m so glad it was in the box!

I’ve also enjoyed this tiny spray of the Viktor and Rolf Flowerbomb perfume. It smells incredible and I feel so fancy when I wear it.

Two travel faves were the Pointe Studio Aloe Infused Fuzzy Socks and the Free People x Understated Leather Starry Eyed Travel Eye Mask, both from past FabFitFun boxes too. The socks were so nice to keep my toes warm as I liked to keep my hotel room a bit chilly overall and the mask was amazing after sticking it in the fridge for awhile. One of the people working for my client at the event and I exchanged eye de-puffing tricks for a bit and I raved about this mask!

Not pictured is my new memory foam pillow. So I’ve wanted to try one of these for awhile but they’ve been so expensive. I found this one for $20 at TJ Maxx (I freaking love that store) and I don’t know if I can ever go back. (This is the pillow that let me enjoy my 12 hour nap last weekend.) I’ve been having lower back pain and shoulder pain, which I’ve been attributing to bad posture when I sit and sleep. More recently my last pillow must have gotten too smushed and I would wake up because I would get a sharp, stabbing flash of pain in my neck. So far with this pillow I haven’t had that and it’s been a week. With the last one I had at least one a night. So I think it’s working!

The Honest Beauty Makeup Wipes were so handy on my trip and soooo nice to use. Sometimes wipes will dry out my face but these didn’t do that at all and I am glad I was able to get some use out of them in Houston.

I think the last beauty item I’ll include is the Drunk Elephant Beste Jelly Cleanser. I really enjoyed this cleanser when I was onsite as it was so quick to get my makeup off at the end of a looooong day.

Oh, and while onsite my main contact for my client came up to me at the registration desk, out of nowhere, and gave me a little box saying it was a present for all I’ve done for the event. I opened it up and it was a little power bank with the FIRST logo on it! It also has a built in flashlight I believe. I thought that was so sweet and kind of her to think of me and to bring me a little gift at the desk. I love it!

This Texas shaped lazy river at my hotel! I stayed at the Marriott Marquis in downtown Houston and it’s literally my favorite hotel ever! (Not that I stay at many but still.) The service is phenomenal and the hotel is beautiful. It’s also attached to the convention center which is quite handy if it’s raining ha!

Oh, and the last favorite is the Hogwarts Mystery mobile game. I’ve been pre-registered for the game for a looooooong time and it finally became available to download so I began to play it today! My character is above. Her name is Ava Quagmire (it didn’t let me do Aria Quagmire which was my first choice but I love Ava too). In my head she’s spunky, stubborn, and smart. Also her dad is half muggle probably and loves Lord of the Rings so her middle name is Samwise although the game didn’t ask. Ava Samwise Quagmire.

I think this game is amazing although I wish it wasn’t energy dependent so I could just play whenever. I’m pretty much a natural at  But the game is hilarious. Ava and her bff Rowan have already played gobstones, Madam Hooch is convinced everything will cause you to fall to your death (i.e. the sun, long hair, insects – although she’s probably right about this one, and who knows what else), and when Professor Flitwick asked if I was going to act according to the rules or rebel there was also an option of “I haven’t decided” so you can bet your bottom dollar that’s what I picked.

    • It is free! There’s the ability to use real life money for in game stuff diamonds like most free games, but I don’t ever spend money on these. Hahaha I did come up with her backstory fairly quickly after naming her! Glad someone else does the same! 😀

  2. I just downloaded the Hogwarts Mystery game myself. I’m so addicted to it, that I literally build my life around playing this game. I also picked that I haven’t decided about following the rules because, sometimes, the rules can be stupid.

  9. I was preregistered for Hogwarts Mystery, too!!! I made my character look like me as much as I could and gave her my name too haha. I also chose “I haven’t decided” 😂

  10. Those socks and mask look amazing!

    YES Harry Potter! I’m playing it now too, I too get annoyed how its so energy dependent. I’ll start a like 3h task and forget I’m doing it and have to keep starting over again. I guess its just to stop people getting so addicted to it but so far I’m loving it 🙂
