My Houston Travel Makeup and Skincare!

Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing what I’ve packed in my makeup and skincare bag for my work trip to Houston, Texas! If you read my packing list from earlier this week you’ll have seen a sneak peek into what I’m traveling with. And if you read my previous Mexico travel beauty bag post you’ll remember I tend to travel with a lot of products.

I’ve got so many items I’m taking compared to my Mexico trip because that one was for fun so I knew I probably wouldn’t bother with makeup if I didn’t feel like it but since this is a work trip then I know I will need it since it isn’t really optional then!

I’m writing and scheduling this before I leave Chicago so I don’t have anything to share here about my trip so far but I’m sure I’m instagramming and snapchatting a bit so feel free to follow me at either one (or both)! I’m StarringPamela on each of these platforms.

So you can see there’s a ton here already! So I managed to stick it into one photo but there was so much that instead I’m going to show it in parts first.

So starting in the top right corner I have the Tom’s Natural Powder Deodorant which isn’t my favorite anymore but I can’t take my usual spray one as it’s too large. There’s a few sample sized items I’m taking as I find that most travel sized products are just way too big anyway. My trips are around 1 week and I don’t use a full travel sized product in a week so this works better. So I have a little sample of the Urban Decay Lipgloss in Amulet, which is a nice red-pink color. There’s also the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara, Kat Von D Lock-It Concealer which is a tad too dark for me but I’ll make it work, and a small spray of the Viktor and Rolf Flowerbomb perfume.

Continuing in the front there’s a small sample of the Honest Beauty powder which I’ve actually never tried before so I’m hoping it is good. I have a little tub of the Estee Lauder DayWear cream I use and a travel size of the Drunk Elephant Lala Retro Whipped Cream Creme fourette which I use at night for moisturizer. I also have a travel tooth brush and my Benefit Goof Proof Eyebrow Pencil.

And for the back row I have a travel size of the Drunk Elephant Beste Jelly Cleanser. I actually haven’t tried this either so wish me the best! I have a travel Sensodyne Pro-Namel toothpaste which I thought we’d used up in Mexico so I bought a travel of my favorite toothpaste. But I’m going to take this one. For foundation I’m taking the L’Oreal Paris Infallible Pro-Matte in 104 which I normally wouldn’t do because it is drugstore but all my high end stuff is too dark for me right now.

Moving onto the next photo!

I also have the Smashbox Photo Finish Primer and a travel size of the Batiste Dry Shampoo for Brown Hair. I don’t think I’ll use the dry shampoo much but I want to take it just in case. I filled up a travel bottle with my Suave Daily Clarifying Shampoo and a travel spray bottle with a bit of my favorite Urban Decay All-Nighter Setting Spray. Then I also have a small bottle of the Simple Micellar Water which I haven’t tried but I have started to use micellar water recently and haven’t had a problem with other brands so I’m hoping the same thing will happen here.

In the back you can see my Benefit travel bag. The bottom is full of the wipes and cotton pads that are in the next photo along with the deodorant I think and the top is full of the stuff that isn’t liquids in these photos.

Down in the row in front of those items are some stuff I already mentioned along with my Lorac Alter Ego Lipstick in CEO which is my all-time favorite. I have my Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer and my tiny IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Undereye although I’m fairly certain I have very little left in it. Then there’s also a small MakeUp Forever Lipstick which is more of a nude color but I don’t know the exact shade as it’s not on the tube.

In front of that row are my trusty Urban Decay Naked Flushed Face Palette and the Basics Eyeshadow Palette. I love these two items and couldn’t live without them!

Okay, onto the last section!

Under the Urban Decay palettes I have the Honest Facial Wipes which I haven’t used but I’m sure I’ll get a lot of use out of. Then I have on the side some cotton pads for the micellar water and under that are some Olay Face Wipes that aren’t pre-moistened. It seems like a bit of overkill to have both wipes but you can never have too many I think. I also have about two weeks worth of contacts because mine aren’t reuseable so I like to travel with double what I need.

Some of the brushes I’m taking are pictured here. I have an E.L.F. Blending Brush and a Bare Minerals Fan Brush. I’m also adding in another E.L.F. Foundation Brush, a few eyeshadow brushes, and Bare Minerals Powder Brush that aren’t pictured here as I had to wash them and they’re drying at the time of this photo shoot (last week).

I have two face masks which sounds like a lot but I really am expecting to need some relaxation after the long days and with all that travel. I have a Purlisse Green Tea and Ginger mask and the Lily Whitening and Brightening mask. I think I actually took these to Mexico and didn’t end up using them so they’ve done some traveling! I also have some glasses cleaning wipes, an Ouai Hair Frizz Wipe sample, and a sample of the Sonia Kashuk Make Up Brush cleaning wipe.

Finally under all of that is the bag that I put my liquids in from Sephora. Liquids must fit into a clear quart sized bag and this is my go to as it’s very sturdy and has a strong zipper.
