Target Beauty Box – Wakeup and Makeup Review!

Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing the Target Wakeup and Makeup Beauty Box that I picked up in Chicago.

There were a few options but this one looked like the most fun one. There were five different options but I gravitated towards this one, especially since it had items I thought would be very useful as it’s either stuff I needed to repurchase anyway or that I already wanted to try.

So in the past the beauty boxes at Target have changed monthly and only were available online. They also weren’t an actual subscription so I would have to check online to see if it was on sale. However I did like that it said what was in it, especially if multiple boxes were available at once so I could pick between them. The boxes were always $7 and a mix of trial sizes and full sizes. Mostly there was also a blend of multiple brands but on occasion one brand was highlighted.

This box was totally different! I found it in an actual store in Chicago on display with the other options and ultimately I thought I would enjoy this one the best. They all looked amazing, especially one with a ton of face masks that makes me wish I had friends nearby to invite for a face mask sleep over haha! Anyway, I did eventually find just these boxes online (I checked over the past weekend when I wrote this) but I don’t know if these are the new format or if this is just a one-time thing.

So here’s what I got in my box!

So one of the items is a little sample of one sheet of the Sonia Kashuk Brush Cleaning Wipes. I’m excited to try this but I’m a little worried I’ll like it a lot and buy them and not properly wash my brushes!

One of the items I was really excited for was the e.l.f. Beautifully Bare Blending Brush. I always love getting new brushes since I use them all the time and I don’t like to use them too many times without washing them. It’s always nice to add to the collection!

Next is the e.l.f. Beautifully Bare Face Palette in “fresh & flawless”. I haven’t tried an e.l.f. face palette so I’m not sure what to expect in terms of color payoff but the colors do look quite natural and nice. This product is full size and retails for $8.00 which is already more than the box!

This is a tried and true favorite of mine! It’s the Dove Dry Spray Invisible Deodorant and I know quite a few of you have also used and loved this product based on your lovely comments! Curiously enough I haven’t seen a travel sized version of this which is quite disappointing. This product is full sized in the box and does retail for $5.49.

A new product I’m dying to try is the Dove Dry Shampoo in Coconut. It is a sample sized so it’s nice as I like to travel with them now. Fun fact: I didn’t use dry shampoo for a long time as it always made my hair look worse but then my friend Erin told me I was doing it wrong! So if you have the same problems I did with dry shampoo where it just made your hair look greasy and gross the trick is to not brush it through right away. I spray it and leave it for 5-10 minutes while I get my make up on and only after then do I brush it through. It works much better that way!

A product I’ve had my eye on for awhile now is the Covergirl Peacock Flare Mascara. I actually don’t normally like Covergirl but I have always loved peacock themed items and I love mascara so I was so interested in this product when I saw it on the shelves. I was so excited to see this product in the box! The mascara is full sized as well and retails for $5.99. This box has really paid for itself!

The final item is the Honest Beauty Makeup Remover Wipes. It has 7 sheets in it so I’m planning to take this on my Houston trip so that I can use them up while I’m there. This is actually a full sized item as well and retails for $2.50.

So that’s everything in my box! I think these boxes are such a great bargain as you get so much in them and get to try so many great items for a really low price. (Not sponsored! I’m just really obsessed with everything Target.)

Let me know what you would like in a subscription box. I’d love to know!

Thanks for reading!

  1. I will have to keep an eye out for these boxes – I haven’t seem them yet. I have never used a spray can deodorant but I am curious now. What a bargain of a box and I am also obsessed with Target 😀

  2. That’s interesting that you were able to buy the box in-store this time! Can’t believe you get to try all that for just $7. I’m most interested in the Honest wipes! Maybe I have been using dry shampoo wrong! Lol & I got that mascara in an Influenster box, it was pretty good especially for a CoverGirl item.

    • I actually like spray better now. I don’t actually like the feel of the roll ons by comparison as the spray feels like I’m not wearing anything even though I am and with roll ons I could always feel it if that makes sense!

  3. Great post, my lil sis is a makeup lover as well. I would want to buy her this box, but I don’t know where to look for, Im sure she will love it. She’s also into face mask and the thingy that you ladies put on your eyes. You and my lil sis will definitely get along well on this.
