Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing my FabFitFun Box for the spring of 2018.
I recently upgraded to an annual subscription to try and get it before I saw any spoilers but the truth is that it just gave more spoilers and I’m really bad at avoiding them. I’m just really bad at waiting. You could ask my manager. She’d tell you!
With the annual membership you do get to select more things such as specific colors. If you want to get $10 off your first FabFitFun box ($49 regularly) feel free to use my link there!
I really loved the items I’d received so far and since the items that were “spoilers” seemed really good I was so excited to get my box! I’ve seen lots of box promoters saying it’s the best box FabFitFun has ever done and while I’m not usually inclined to believe them (as they’re supposed to say that) I think I would agree. This is their 5 year anniversary box so they did go all out and their items are consistently at a good price point on par with the box itself this time.
The box came with their usual newsletter and a few other promotional bits. The charity this month is Girl Rising which helps females around the world by providing education and empowerment to them for careers. Education, especially female education, is something I care about deeply. This likely stems from my own experience of having access to so many options for schooling but knowing there are others who don’t have that readily available to them. I’m so happy FabFitFun chose this charity to work with!
Here are the items I got!
The item I was most excited for is the Rachel Pally Reversible Clutch in Bloom. This was a choice item in the sense that you could pick the color you got, but I believe the choice was only for annual subscribers. The clutch is reversible no matter what color was received as one part is a solid color and the other is a print. It’s easy to switch them just by folding the clutch the other way. It’s pretty roomy and has pockets on the inside. I don’t use clutches often as I tend to go for giant bags but I have been starting to crave a clutch so this is perfect timing! This clutch does retail for $60.
Next up is the Murad Skin Perfecting Lotion. I have to admit, I have a ton of lotions so this wasn’t the item I was most excited for but I’m sure I’ll still try it out or my mom will take it. Still, spending $40 on a lotion is not something I’d normally do so I really do want to try it to see how luxurious it is. This lotion retails for $40.
The next item is the Anderson Lilley Sunset Collection Candle in Super Bloom. I believe this item was also a choice item for annual subscribers as I remember I picked this too. The candle is in such a cute copper holder. I am so excited to try this candle and it’s definitely the most expensive thing I’ll ever have burned since it retails for $45.
Next is the ISH Lip Statement Palatte which I was excited to get as well! The colors are all extremely wearable and I can’t wait to try them out. I don’t have anything like this as I tend to stick to lipsticks or lip glosses in tubes. This palatte retails for $42.
One product that I’ve already gotten a ton of use out of is the Physique 57 Massage Roller in Grey. I have to say I kind of wished I’d gotten the blue color or orange that were available (the color was randomly selected) but honestly it’s so great I don’t mind what color it came in! I’ve never had a roller stick before but always wanted one and when my back was hurting last week I used this and got great results. I really do think it helped. I also went for a run yesterday and used it to roll my feet and it felt amazing! This roller stick retails for $20 which I think is a great price. One person I saw that reviewed her own box said that she felt the roller stick alone was worth the price of a box and while I don’t think I’d go that far I would agree that this is a highlight of the box, even if it is one of the lowest cost items. In fact, especially so!
The next item in the box is the Free People x Understated Leather Starry Eyed Travel Eye Mask in Pink. I have a theory that even though it says that this color was randomly selected that it was actually selected to match the clutch. I haven’t seen enough box reviews to decide if my theory is correct or not. The mask is quite heavy and the band is adjustable which is great because most are stretchy and since I have a small head then I can’t use the masks once they stretch out. I believe it can be put in the fridge to provide a cooling effect but I’m not brave enough to try that yet. I think I’ll start out with room temperature. The mask retails for $40.
The Dermeleet Cosmecuticals Makeover Concealing Ridge Filler is intriguing. I must admit that while I normally would find no use for this item I am currently excited to try it because I got a no chip manicure for Mexico and now my nails are a wreck after peeling it off. I make a terrible lady as my nails are always a mess. I can’t wait to try this and hopefully it works! This product retails for $18.
This box also featured a sponsored item. I don’t think it’s in all the boxes as the newsletter said it may be included but it is the Dove Exfoliating Body Polish. I do already have this same exact item in the same exact packaging from a Target Beauty Box I believe but I haven’t tried it yet so I can’t say if I like it or not yet. The product didn’t have a price listed in the newsletter, I’m assuming because it is a sample size and there for not usually for sale but the full sized product retails for $5.89 on the Target website.
The beauty choice item that I picked was the KNC Beauty All Natural Collagen Infused Lip Mask. The package has 5 masks in it and while it looks weird judging from the Instagram posts I’ve seen already I’m really excited to try it because I always have dry lips. The other item was a body butter but I ultimately went with this one because I already have a ton of lotion/body butters/etc. that I just don’t use. These masks retail for $24.99.
Lastly is the jewelry choice item. I picked the Ettika Day Dreamer Tassle Earrings in Pink. I normally don’t wear dangle-y earrings but I didn’t really like the bracelet option (it said “love” on it and I don’t like things with hearts or love on them) so I went with these. I think these look more like a summer item than a spring item but they are really cute and I do want to try them. These normally retail for $58.
In total my box retailed for $347.99 with a range of $347-$354.99 according to the newsletter (and not including the sponsored item). I really liked the stuff in this box! I have to say that the items were all really good and I was impressed with the variety of items. I find that I much prefer to get items I’ll actually use so I think this is the only box I’ll actually stay subscribed to. I feel that this box is such a great deal and plus I’m already subscribed for a year anyway so I’m committed to it! I already can’t wait to see what the summer box has in store for us!
So that’s my spring FabFitFun box! Let me know if you got one as well or are waiting for yours.
