Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing all my favorites from this past month! I always do this thing where I think to myself “Self, we don’t have any favorites this month! We have no post! WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO???”. And then every month I walk around and find so many items that I can’t carry them all in one trip.
The struggle is real folks.
Anyway, the point is that I do have a ton of favorites this month! So let’s get started!
First up, my trip to Mexico! I know, I’ve talked about this in so many posts so I’ll just link them here if you want to read them:

- My Mexico Trip Days 1, 2, & 3
- My Mexico Trip OOTD
- My Mexico Trip Days 4, 5, & 6
And I still need to do a post on what I bought myself while I was in Mexico so I’m not done writing about my trip yet!
So I think you may have seen some of these before, but some are new! First, is my Dove Dry Spray Invisible Deodorant. I was trying to move towards more natural deodorants but honestly they just aren’t as good and then I researched a bit more and it seems that aluminum isn’t actually as bad as I’d previously heard so I decided I’d just stick to what I liked.
Next is the This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray. I got this from my winter FabFitFun box (I’m anxiously awaiting my spring box, it’s supposed to come today!) and I was skeptical at first I must admit. But I’ve actually grown to really like this as the scent is so lovely and relaxing. It is pretty strong so I can’t spray too much though!
I also have The Sorting Candle by MLC Co. My bff Erin saw this on Cosmopolitan before she moved to Arizona so we ordered ourselves some sorting candles. They’re avialable on Etsy! They’ve been so popular the seller has only been able to make these specific candles and is doing preorders months in advance. We bought ours back in November and didn’t get them until January. Right now I believe she’s in preorders for June. If you’re not familiar with these, they’re white candles that change colors as you burn them to “sort” you into a Hogwarts house. Erin really wanted Gryffindor and I really wanted Ravenclaw and somehow we got those houses! Well, I think mine was more purple which is the Hogwarts school color so maybe mine actually means I get to chose, in which case it’s still Ravenclaw. Score!
I think my ride or die concealer is now the Kat Von D Lock-It Concealer. I got a little sample of this in a previous Sephora Play Box, bought the full size, then got a travel version for my trip to Mexico so clearly, I’m obsessed.
Next is my sample of the YSL Mon Paris Perfume. I love this scent so much! I haven’t purchased the rollerball because I have a ton and can’t justify buying another rollerball fragrance. I also have a lot of bottles of perfume that I haven’t used up and I’m trying to be more responsible about using up what I have. Although clearly I’m not doing so well considering the concealer!
A new to me product is the Sephora Honey Lip Scrub. I get quite dry lips and haven’t really found a lip balm that will provide a good fix. This one I think is one that I’m going to have to repurchase multiple times in the future! It seems to work so instantaneously and yet I don’t have to reach for it so often. I really like this product and I can’t believe I hadn’t heard of it before.
An oldie but a goodie, the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer. I use the color sand and bought a travel version for Mexico. This is actually my old one which doesn’t have much left in it and I need to throw into my “empties” bin soon. Yay for hoarding garbage!
Next is the Dr. Brandt Pores No More Luminizer Primer. If you saw my Dr. Brandt VoxBox post, you’ll have seen that I got this one in that box. When I wrote the post I think I was mostly indifferent to it, but since I wrote up that portion of the post I’ve decided that I really do like the primer! It is much thicker than I’m used to but I think that helps the makeup stay on my face longer. The only part of my face that I still have trouble with is getting the makeup to stay on my nose, but I have that problem with everything. Literally, I am basically just moving foundation from place to place when I put it on my nose so it’s just something I have to deal with constantly.
And last but not least are two fashion faves! First is my Target Xhiliaration top! It’s black with white stars all over it (I’m partial to stars, like my blog name) and have cutouts on the shoulders. I love it so much and it’s my new favorite top. I also like my Jessica Simpson sunglasses from TJ Maxx. I’ve had them for awhile but I hadn’t used them as I still had my Loft ones, although those are now all scratched up and it’s kind of annoying to see out of them now. I might repurchase those someday but for now I love these! They are tinted gold so it kind of looks like I’m putting an Instagram filter over the world when I wear them which is nice. Even though I edit my photos to turn down the warmth! Fun fact, I saw them at TJ Maxx once and I liked them so much that I bought them. My sister also liked them but didn’t purchase them that visit. She did purchase them on another visit, thinking I hadn’t bought them. When I saw her wearing them I was so confused and asked if she was wearing my sunglasses (which was fine as I had my old ones) and that’s when we realized we once again bought the same item! We’re always doing this! Unfortunately hers broke already so it seems they’re not that sturdy, but they are quite cute!
And that’s my favorites for the month! I had quite a bit more than I expected so I’m glad about that. Let me know what your favorite item has been this month. I’d love to know!
