My February Sephora Play Box!

Hi everyone! Today I’m going over my Sephora Play Box from this month. Usually I get this by the third Wednesday of the month, so I was confused when I didn’t get it in time to do my post but it turns out it did arrive, it just arrived later in the day and so I didn’t see it in time to do a post about it. Ah well, better late than never!

So the theme for the month was “feel/share the love”. I’m assuming it was a Galentine’s thing because it does make references to friends. I have to admit, I don’t think it was the best box I’ve ever gotten. I was quite disappointed by the makeup bits but the skin care items seemed great.

The bag was alright. Not my favorite. I thought after I returned from Mexico that I really should have taken these bags with me and given them out to my cousins. There’s a ton of them so I can’t really buy them actual presents (or I could but that would quickly get expensive as I do have a lot of cousins). Maybe next time!

So the first item I don’t think I’ll ever get use out of. It’s the Lancome Dram Liqui-pencil in Cote D’azur, which is like a blue color. I don’t even wear eyeliner because it always flakes on me and gets all over my face. Actually, my mom walked in as I was writing this so I gave it to her. She’s thrilled! (Although she doesn’t use blue eyeliner either.)

Next I got the Sephora Collection Ultra Shine Lip Gel in 04 Perfect Nude. I think it looks really light so I’m not sure if I’ll be able to get use out of it.

I also got yet another Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Lipstick in M500. The box is bright red but it’s more of a burgundy red. I love these types of colors but there’s been one of these in quite a few of my boxes so it doesn’t feel like much of a variety anymore.

The first item I was actually interested in was a new product. It is the First Aid Beauty Ginger & Turmeric Vitamin C Jelly Mask. It seems jelly masks and vitamin C are all the rage lately and I am excited to try it. It says it’s safe for sensitive skin so that’s a huge plus!

The second skin care item is the Peter Thomas Roth FIRMx Peeling Gel. Now that the acne is cleared up (mostly) from my face I need to focus on pores, which this product promises to do. I can’t wait to try it!

Lastly is the “bonus item” which I’ve noticed is always a fragrance sample. This month is the Tory Burch Love Relentlessly. I sprayed it on and while it does smell nice it’s honestly not my favorite scent so I gave this to my mom as well since she really liked it.

And that’s my box this month! I am still considering canceling this one but maybe I’ll give it another month or so. They are quite fun as it’s the easiest to avoid spoilers for but the thing is that I have so many products to use already!

So let me know if you’ve tried any of these products before. I’d love to know!

Thanks for reading!

  1. I still have not gotten my box this month. 😦 I’m sorry you were disappointed in the makeup bits in your bag but that First Aid jelly mask is a huge score! I hope I get that in mine!
