Hi everyone! Today I’m showing you what I got in my Target Beauty Box! I think we’re nearing the end of the beauty subscription boxes from Target and Sephora for me. I love getting them but now I have so many samples of everything under the moon and I want to have a chance to use them up. I haven’t fully decided yet so we shall see!
Anyway, I’m one third of the way through my J-term class already! I’m still super nervous about the class but now it’s because of the amount of work I have to do. I have a mac so the add-in for Excel that we use in class doesn’t work properly on my laptop. It’s stressful. Plus I have a 3-5 page assignment and a 4-6 page group project with a presentation all due on Saturday. Yikes! Two more weekends… Luckily I’ve managed to get a few days off work because 1) I need them and 2) I have to use up a ton of vacation before April. Luckily my coworkers are amazing and never hesitate to cover for me when I need them. I always am willing to cover for them as well, so we’re super supportive and a great group overall!
Okay, onto the box then back to the homework! Last I checked the box was still available on Target.com for $7 (not sponsored, I just love Target).
So the first item I received is the Nexxus Humectress Hair Mask. This seems to be a full sized item, as it’s listed at $3.99 on the Beauty Box page of Target’s website. It does say it’s normal to dry hair so this will be a present for my mom. I have very oily hair so that won’t work for me but I think she’ll like it!
Next is the Dove Gentle Exfoiliating Body Polish. I received a 1oz sample and the full size is 10.5oz for $5.99. This is made with crushed macadamia and rice milk and sounds incredibly nourishing. I’m excited to try this out!
Next is the Pretty Animalz Tiger Sheet Mask. I haven’t gotten back to my Sunday mask ritual which I miss. Maybe I’ll try it out this weekend after class! This is full sized and retails for $3.99. I think it’s cute and I can’t wait to try it!
Another item that I’m not sure will work for me is the OGX Biotin & Collagen Shampoo. It says it’s volumizing which normally doesn’t work well for my hair. I might donate this if my mom doesn’t like it. This item is a trial size and retails for $2.99.
Next is the Mrs. Meyer’s Body Wash. The sample is lavender which isn’t my favorite scent. I have quite a few body washes and soaps already so this might be another donation. It does also say it can be used to wash delicate clothing items which I find odd and slightly suspicious?
The Vichy Mineral 89 Face Moisturizer sounds interesting for sure! It does say it’s for hydrating the skin, and for all skin types, including sensitive skin. I am willing to give this a shot. You might remember I was having issues with breakouts. I have started using really hydrating products and right now my skin is doing so much better! However that also coincided with the holidays when I didn’t wear makeup every day so it could also have something to do with that.
Last but not least, I also received the CoverGirl Melting Pout Liquid Lipstick. The color I have is 110 Evan-Gel-ical. I do want to try it but I’m worried the color might be a tad too light for my skin tone. I’ll just have to try it!
And that’s this month’s box! Overall I liked it and the full sized products paid for the box once again. I think it was a good collection of items although I can’t use all of them. I do prefer that to getting boxes where I wouldn’t be able to use anything at all and it is very inexpensive anyway so I still like it. I also like that Target states what’s in the box so you can see it if you want before buying it. I haven’t really taken a look before now as I’ve just bought it and wanted to be surprised but I might start looking at the included items now to be more selective with which ones of these boxes I buy. I’d miss it if I didn’t get it though!
