Hi everyone! So I finally got my 2017 Winter FabFitFun box!
I literally feel like everyone else got theirs before me. Also I tried so hard to avoid spoilers but unfortunately I accidentally clicked onto a video on YouTube, didn’t pay attention when she said “FabFitFun” at the beginning (I was trying to multitask), and next thing I know she’s unboxing one of the choice items that I’d seen already so that’s when I realized I’d been watching an unboxing of the new box. Sigh.
I’m normally really bad at waiting. I’m the type of person who Googles the end of movie plots because I cannot wait until the end! But of the two boxes I’ve gotten from FabFitFun I’ve tried really hard to avoid spoilers and both times accidentally ruined it. Ah well, I’m still really excited to see it and see what exactly I got. I mean, they’re not all exactly the same so I didn’t really but I kinda did.
So let’s unbox this thing!
The first few things I pulled out made me so excited right away! I’ve wanted to try something by Kate Somerville for a loooong time but never have. So when I saw I had received the ExfoliKate I was so happy! I remember every beauty youtuber under the sun raved about this product so I can’t wait to finally try it out for myself! This is actually the priciest item in the box, as it normally retails for $75 on it’s own. Already the box paid for itself!
Next item I received was the This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray. This was the wellness choice item, so I had to pick between two products. I chose the spray as I wasn’t really interested in the other item (a mini fitness ball) and I’ve never tried a pillow spray. I don’t really have trouble sleeping normally but when I do it’s terrible. And I’m the type of person that needs sleep or I’ll rip your face off so for everyone’s sake, I picked the spray. I’m so thoughtful that way! This spray retails for $29.
The last item from this group of products is the AHAVA Mineral Hand Cream. Good news! My hands were super dry (no, that’s not the good news) so I already got to try this and it feels so good! (Yes, that’s the good news.) It’s made with Dead Sea water which already sounds so cool and it smells so clean. I used a tad bit too much so you don’t need too much of this, a little goes a long way! This one retails for $33.
For the next item, it’s not actually part of the box! It came packaged with my box in a larger box and isn’t in the brochure so I’m not entirely sure where it came from but I’m not about to complain! I checked my account information on FabFitFun in case I ordered an add-on and didn’t remember but it looks like it just says GWP, which I’m guessing is Gift With Purchase so if it is, thank you FFF! So the item is the Briogeo Rosarco blow dry perfection & heat protectant creme. It smells amazing and I can’t wait to try it out! I don’t use heat on my hair often because I don’t want to damage it. I have really long hair so I want to keep it that way! But I’m willing to give this a try and see how it does! I looked it up online to find the retail price and it’s listed for $24.
The next item is a part of the box, it’s the Doucce Freematic Eyeshadow Pro Palette in Nude. These box curators know me so well sometimes, I love nude palettes. I am so excited to try this palette out because the colors just look so amazing and deep. There’s mattes, there’s simmers, it’s just beautiful. This palette retails for $70 so it’s the most expensive palette I own now!
And lastly in this group of items is the Grace & Stella Anti-Wrinkle + Energizing Eye Masks. My mom saw this and said “YOU DON’T HAVE WRINKLES” so I think she wants this. It says on the box that the eye masks will fake a full 8 hours of sleep and will brighten, de-puff, and hydrate the eye area. It was the beauty choice item of the month, and I chose it over a hair mask. This retails for $16.
These next two items were among my most anticipated in the box. They were both randomly selected colors and I’m happy to say I love them both! First is the Pointe Studio Aloe Infused Cozy Socks. I got the black pair but there was also a red/pink and a blue version. Honestly I would have been happy with any color. They smell delightful as they are aloe infused and are meant to be “post workout” socks. I watched another youtuber’s video (because I already got spoiled so why not) and her dad was unboxing with her and he immediately said “YOU DON’T WORK OUT”. Oh it was hilarious! Parents tell it like it is I guess! Anyway these socks retail for $19.
The second item I did have a secret preference for and I got my choice! It was the Homemade by Ayesha Curry Ceramic Mug and I got the teal version that says “I’d rather be in bed”. This mug was made for me. It gets me. Am I being dramatic enough yet? Anyway, I would have been perfectly fine with the pink “Love You a Latte” or the black and white “coming in hot” mugs too but this one is just perfect! This retails for $16.
We’re nearly done! This is the last round of items. I received the 8 Other Reasons Nine Lives Choker in the silver color. There was a rose gold, which I would have preferred but this is lovely too. It is a choker with a dangley bit and it seems really pretty and simple. It retails for $58.
Last but not least is this BB Dakota Poncho and I received the black color. There was also a charcoal and mulberry but I am glad I received the black. Although today my friend/coworker John told me that I only wear black. I told him he doesn’t pay enough attention and my friend/coworker Erin said “he’s such a boy” when I told her about this. She gets me. So I really love ponchos and I’m so happy I got another one to add to my collection! I joked with another coworker the other day that when I get up in the morning and pick out my clothes I think to myself “Self, what is the closest thing to a blanket that we can wear to work today?” A poncho will do it my friends. It isn’t overly soft but it does seem quite sturdy and heavy so it’s sure to keep me warm. It does say it’s reversible so even better! It retails for $70.
So that’s my Winter FabFitFun box! I was blown away by this box. It 100% exceeded expectations for me and I am itching to try every single item ASAP! So my box totaled at $410 if you add up the retail prices for everything (you can check my math if you want). Without the GWP my box was at $386, which is right in the middle of the possible total value spectrum ($373-$393 depending on the choice item selections).
This month, FFF paired up with the American Heart Association to raise awareness on cardiovascular disease in women. There was a little card with information on the AHA and a story in the magazine included in the box on it. The magazine also contained details on the items in the box including styling tips, resolution ideas for the new year, and so much more.
In the end, I absolutely loved this box and I am already looking forward to what I am sure will be an amazing Spring box!
And remember, if you sign up using my link for FabFitFun you not only get $10 off your first box but I get something as well! I think I get a credit towards their add-ons shop. Either way, we both get something so we both win! (Not sponsored, I just like stuff.)
Thanks for reading!

Oh my gosh, so many fun & wonderful items!! I’d be sad if I accidentally saw a spoiler review for a sub box I ordered, too–the best part is the surprise to me! I can’t believe you look up the end of movie plots, though!
I’ve never heard of pillow spray? That sounds so interesting. I’m curious to know how that works for you! The makeup palette looks beautiful & the mug is so adorable!

I know! I’m really going to try not to spoil it next time! Haha I do get bored of movies and have to look up what’s happening. It annoys my sister so much! I tried the pillow spray last night but I think I used too much because it was so strong! I’ll have to try it again later.
