My Christmas Tree – Blogmas Day 2!

Hi everyone! Welcome back to Blogmas! Today, I’m going to show you my tree! We don’t have any presents yet under the tree even though it’s been about two weeks since it went up. Clearly there’s a lack of holiday spirit around here! My mom did add a few fake presents in the past few days but they weren’t there when I took photos so oh well.

I did buy a present for myself already though, since my mom and I went to the mall earlier today and there were mega sales at some stores. I didn’t go too crazy but I did buy myself a new handbag that I absolutely fell in love with. The thing is that I was trying to find a present for my dad and failed completely. I think he’s just going to have to get a gift card because he’s so hard to shop for. My mom and sister already know that the musical we’re seeing next weekend is their Christmas present so I just need to find something small for my mom at some point.

Tada! My pink tree!!! I actually was able to get my tree up before Thanksgiving by a few days, but I had it planned out since last year when I found the bulbs at Target on sale after Christmas. We also used some silver decorations, including the silver tree skirt that I searched high and low for last year.

The angel on the top is quite annoying as it’s silver but glows gold when lit up. When not lit up it does actually look silver. Otherwise we have small pink bulbs at the top, then medium sized in the middle, and the largest at the bottom. They’re not the best quality as the glitter came off a few of them in patches when we took them out of the packaging but they are still pretty cute!

There’s light pink and magenta pink bulbs so it just looks so cute! I also found some pink jewels at Target this year to add in and I think they do bring a lot more cuteness to the tree. My dad hasn’t said anything against the pink which is good because I was going to remind him that he doesn’t contribute to the putting the tree up process. Plus the tree was blue and silver last year so it’s only natural to have a pink one this year. My mom was all for a pink tree but when we were putting it up she kept trying to add bulbs that didn’t go with the theme. I allowed a few items but I always put my foot down about the more crazy items like Santa or the ornaments my sister and I made at school. Actually I think I managed to get rid of most of those since they looked so battered after being used for years. My sister managed to remember that we had a magenta string of beads so she dug that out and we put it up as well.

Since this is the first year we’ve had pink we don’t have novelty pink bulbs yet. I was thinking of trying to find some at the Christmas market but since it hadn’t been up yet I couldn’t remember exactly what kind of pink I needed. Next time I go I’ll keep an eye out for some pink!

And that’s my tree this year! I  think it’s so cute even if it is a little simple. I can’t wait for a few more gifts to be added and hopefully a few more ornaments! So, do you have your tree up and presents under it already? Let me know!

Thanks for reading!

  1. The tree looks gorgeous! I love the pink😊💕 and I understand how it is shopping for dads or men in general lol I usually have a hard time picking and go with gift cards or shirts

  2. Your tree is so beautiful! 😍 We’ve got our tree (it’s real) but we haven’t decorated it yet as its always been a tradition to decorate it together as a family 😊 So as soon as my sister comes back from Uni (which I hope it’s soon as I’m dying to decorate it! 😂🎄) we will do it! 😊💕
