If We Were Having Coffee – December Blogmas Day 1!

Hi everyone! Happy December! Care to grab a coffee for a little chat? And it’s the first day of Blogmas! Yes, I’ll be blogging every day this month! Well Blogmas is meant to be up until Christmas but the way my schedule works out, it’s going to be every day!

So I will be drinking an iced chai tea latte with a shot of espresso today because they’re yummy! I will also enjoy a snowman cookie because I’m just obsessed with sugar.

So here we go!

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you how I’ve had a terrible headache all day that just hasn’t gone away. I also had one the other day that I blamed on pineapple but honestly it’s probably just a combination of stress, lack of sleep, and potential dehydration.

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you how excited I am for this month because I’m anticipating a lot of fun! Hopefully I’ll do a few musicals, a trip to Chicago’s Christmas market again, and a ton of Netflix (once finals are over).

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you how I got a shout out from Katftwynn (gamer on YouTube) on her Twitch channel. My sister had told me that Kat was playing What Remains of Edith Finch on Twitch so I went to my app and after many minutes of trying to figure out the platform I finally found Kat’s stream. My sister said hi to me in the comments, I said hi back, and Kat thought it was so funny! Kat’s mom was also on the stream and she said “why would you tell your sister to watch this sad video??” I loved it!

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you how I’ve been obsessed with Taylor Swift’s new album, Reputation. I love so many of the songs and have the CD in my car (along with Hamilton of course).

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that I’m getting the itch to learn something new again. Sure, I’m in school right now but I want to learn something for fun again soon. Since I plan to take my summer class online, I hope I can find time then.

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you how I wish I could upgrade my electronics right now! It seems they’re all against me right now. My phone is super slow and always out of memory space since the new iPhones came out and I want to replace it with the new Google Pixel 2 but I hate Verizon so I don’t want to get it because of that. My iPad also constantly fails to connect to the wifi even though it says it’s connected, and my laptop is getting slow again. But they are all something I can live with so I’ll just suck it up (except the phone, may have to upgrade sooner rather than later).

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you how much I’ve been missing people lately. I’ll suddenly remember someone who’s made an impact in my life and miss them. It’s strange since I normally don’t feel that way. Perhaps it’s a sign I should reach out to people more often!

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you how I’m almost ready to stop my hoarder lifestyle. I’ve put a ton of clothes into bags to sell/donate/throw away/etc. but haven’t followed through just yet. I really need to get rid of stuff though. It’ll be a nightmare to move with it all someday and I just don’t want that much stuff anymore.

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you how I want to create a “Chicago Bucket List” of sorts for myself. I want to move away in a few years so I want to make sure I do everything I want to get done before leaving. That sounds like a good idea, right?

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that Blogmas is going to be so much fun! I just have to try really hard to get ahead!

  1. I’ve never tried a chai tea latte cold…. now I need to! I just donated a bunch of clothes, felt so good! but I still have more in a bag that I haven’t gotten around to yet, such a hoarder 🙈 can’t wait to keep up with your blogmas posts!

  8. That cookie looks so cute!! 😍⛄️ I’m so exited about blogmas! If we were having coffee I’d also tell you I’m loving Taylor Swifts new album and how awesome I think it is! I’ve been playing it to and from work and I can’t get enough of it! 😊💕

  10. I would definitely be drinking a chai tea latte as well from this locally owned coffee shop called Summermoon <3. I'm wrapping up on finals, getting Christmas presents for loved ones, preparing for Christmas social events, making sure I'm taking care of myself and spending time with loved oness.
