My Lively November!

Hi everyone! So I hadn’t thought I would have much for today but it turns out I do! Every month I forget how much I have done! If it wasn’t for my pictures I would have no idea what I’ve been up to!

So class got out early today because my professor for the second class is poorly. Sucks for him but the class was pumped! Btw my parts for my groups final projects are done and I’m already nearly done with my homework for accounting due in two weeks so I think I’m super ahead of the game. Two more weeks and I’ll be done with my first semester!!!

Okay, let’s get to everything!

Fitness

Well I once agin failed at this. I didn’t run at all and barely even got out of the house. I didn’t even do yoga. It’s something I need to continue to work on for sure.

Musicals

So I saw three musicals this month. I did reviews on all of them so I’ll link them as well. First one I saw was School of Rock which was so much fun!

The second was Escape to Margaritaville which was an amazing end to the season. I was not familiar with Jimmy Buffet music but I did really enjoy it and the story anyway.

The third musical was Hamilton! If you’ve been following me for any amount of time, you’ll know that I’m obsessed! And so is everyone in the world it seems! This was my second time seeing it and already I want to see it again. It’s an amazing work of art and I’m so lucky to live close to where the room where it happens!

Visual Arts

Ooooo a new section! I thought I’d include these too. I stopped by the Chicago Cultural Center and came across the architecture event they’re hosting. The art was amazing and I love how creative the artists were!

I also stopped by an event called “Boxes and Walls” on my college campus. It explores societal issues like genocide, mass shootings, etc. The student who created the mass shootings box was there and we chatted for a bit. She said she’d started crying while researching. Her project involved papers with a mass shooting event and some details. I got the one with Columbine and while I was too young to remember or understand I was impacted by the event as we started having “lockdown” drills after. I also loved the one about child-free living as I don’t want children and yet I’m constantly told that I’ll change my mind and other annoying crap like that. While the presentations weren’t consistent in terms of content and quality it was still informative and I did enjoy it.

School

Well I guess I already gave my update but I’m nearly done with the first semester!!!! Ahhhhh!!! I’m going to be that much closer to graduation! I am so ready for the semester to be over and while I’m dreading j-term I can’t wait to be finished with my current classes.

And that’s my month! I also read books but that was yesterday’s post so I won’t go over them again. Let me know what hobbies you’ve been up to lately!

Thanks for reading!

    • I am so happy I’ve been able to. It really is because I live close to a city where it’s being performed. I don’t think I’d be able to travel to it. I hope you do get to be in the room someday!

  1. I keep hearing how good the Hamilton musical is! School of Rock sounds like it was great too. I went to a Shakespearean play by our local river and it was pretty great. We saw The Taming of the Shrew, I tried to get out doors as much as I could. I made sure to maintain exercising a couple of times a week, practiced a couple of new recipes and attended a friends giving potluck at my church.
