Hi everyone! Greetings from the thanksgiving table! I’m super stuffed of tamales and pozole but I’ll still take desert!
I had a traditional thanksgiving meal with the turkey and pie and stuff(ing) at work as we always order food and celebrate as an office. Every year John gets outraged that there’s no paternity leave at the company and asks a male to adopt a child with him so they can get paternity leave. It’s a hoot.
We’re celebrating at my uncle’s house this year. My aunt is an amazing cook and my cousin is fun to hang out with. She’s a full ten years younger than me but we get along great. My sister and I both enjoy coming over and my parents do too. My uncle lives about an hour and a half away so we don’t come often but it’s nice to be with family.
I have many, many things to be thankful for. I won’t list them all here because that would be super long but here’s a short list.
- My family
- My friends (including my blogging friends!)
- Good health
- So many books to read
- The opportunity to pursue higher education
I’m sure I’ll hit publish and continue to think of a million more things but I’ll leave that for now.
Feel free to share what you’re thankful for if you’d like! I know it’s an American holiday but don’t let that stop you if you’re international!
Thanks for reading!

Oh you should try it! I absolutely love it. 😀 I ended up not going out again today as I wanted to catch up on homework. But maybe I’ll do some online shopping on Monday!

Even though in England we don’t celebrate thanksgiving I think it’s so important to be thankful and grateful for many things and people in our lives! ❤

I agree! That’s a big reason why I do like Thanksgiving. I know most people around me focus on the food but I love the gratitude portion of the holiday. And it leads into the rest of the season so nicely!
