If We Were Having Coffee – November 2017

Hi everyone! What are we having for coffee today? I actually got my mom a Keurig so I have been drinking a lot more coffee so I might go for an iced strawberry green tea. Even though it’s freezing out.

It’s a little hard to think that it’s already November. I need about 12 naps, 5 blankets, and maybe 3 pillows right now though so let’s get started!

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you all about school of course! I’m more than halfway through my first semester already and I’m looking forward to the next. The J-term sounds brutal but I’m taking finance and marketing next semester and those were my favorite courses in undergrad. I can’t wait!

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you how sad I am that I’m not doing NaNoWriMo this year. I just don’t have the time to do it and while I know the point isn’t to get a great story right away, I don’t even have a story right now. Well, I guess I have a few, since I keep a note on my phone but I want to outline and really figure out what I want to say but I haven’t so not this year I think.

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you how happy I am that the movie Meet the Robinsons was added on Netflix! I just really, really love that movie and I’d wanted to see it again for such a long time, but hadn’t made the time to and never remembered to get it from the library. While watching it I just fell in love with it all over again.

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you how much I do want to move somewhere new. Except for college and studying abroad, I’ve only ever lived in the Chicagoland area. My parents are thinking along the lines of Arizona or Florida but I’m thinking more like Washington D.C. would be a good place for me.

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you how much I’ve been thinking about my career. I’m in event planning now and it’s nice but I get the feeling that I’m not going to be doing it forever. While talking to a coworker he mentioned that I might want to look into policy making. Now that is what I’d love to do! So I think I’m going to think about that and look into it. Hence why D.C. is looking better and better.

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you how I’m slowly resigning myself to the fact that I have to learn sports. Everyone is super into sports around me so I’m learning so much about baseball now. I have to be a Chicago Cubs fan because of my friends but I was totally rooting for the Houston Astros for the World Series. And they won!

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you how I ate my weight in candy this week! Everyone at the office had candy and insisted on giving it all to me! I’m not upset about it.

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you how I found the website Poshmark and now I am so dangerously close to getting myself a pair of Tom Ford sunglasses. And a bunch of other items I don’t need.

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that I think I’m really excited to put up my Christmas tree this year. I’m not even religious and don’t believe in any of that stuff but I love the decor aspect so much! I was thinking of doing two full sized trees and then the mini tree but I might just do one full sized and one mini.

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that I’m so excited for my massage later this month! It’ll be my first massage and it’s after my dentist appointment so I’m sure to have all the stress to get rid of. I’m kind of nervous about it too since I think you’re supposed to be nakey under the sheet but I’ll get over it (I hope). I have been having some neck/shoulder pain and I think it’s because I sit all day and sleep funny. Hopefully this will help!

Well that’s what would share with you if we were having coffee! What would you share with me? Let me know in the comments!

Thanks for reading!

  1. Lots of exciting stuff ahead Pam. Plan on. The sound of Washington DC – what seems like a step nearer the political nerve centre – fab 🙂 And go go go with the Christmas trees. I love the whole paraphernalia too. The warmth and fuzz of it. I raise my glass of mulled wine to the wonderful picture awaiting us. xx

  2. If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that in my home country – Philippines – we celebrate Christmas early! You will see Christmas decorations and hear Christmas songs everywhere in the early month of September! Hahaha lol. It’s because we don’t have autumn or Halloween isn’t a big thing, that’s why 🙂

  3. We just watched Meet the Robinsons last night. It’s such a good movie. Generally, kids movies have been hitting it out of the ball park in recent years. Speaking of sports, a little football and basketball may give you a bit more fodder for speaking to the general population. I didn’t know you were interested in NaNo. I thought about it as well but didn’t realize until the last minute. I’d love to try it out next time. Have you done it before?

  4. Lol you’re so cute to be worried about being nude under the sheets when you get your massage! I hope the massage helps out all the kinks in your neck and shoulders!
