Sephora Play Box – October 2017!

Hi everyone! So I got my new October Sephora Play Box today and wanted to share it with you! That’s perfect because I needed to still write today’s post and hadn’t decided what to write about yet.

So one midterm to go for me, I am so excited to be done with that! I’ve also been a total adult and scheduled two days off work, one for the dentist and one for the eye doctor. One of those days will also double as a massage day! It’s my first massage.

The left side of my neck has been really ache-y and I think it’s because 1) I don’t sit up straight and 2) my pillow sucks. I bought a new pillow at Target yesterday but both my mom and my friend Erin encouraged me to get a massage as well so why not!

Btw, this post is not sponsored!

Okay, let’s get into the box!

I’ll start with the bag that came inside the box. Clearly diversity is the goal here! “Public Display of Complexion” is on the bag and as a lady of color, I quite like it! You know, that is always a weird way to refer to myself. I don’t feel like a person of color, I just feel like a person. So it’s strange to think that some people might judge me just for that. But I’m getting off topic, aren’t I? I think these bags are so cute, this one included.

So getting into the items, first is the Urban Decay Quick Fix Hydracharged Prep Priming Spray. I am so excited to try this one since I love Urban Decay products and somehow have never tried this. I totally want to try it tomorrow.

I also got the Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundation in Y335. I can guarantee it’ll be too dark as my colors normally start with a “2” but I’ll try it out. I really wish I’d gotten a tan this year! But one of my fears is skin cancer so I don’t.

Next is the IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Undereye Illumination. I really don’t need illuminating under my eyes, or at least I’ve never noticed if I did before. It does says it’s supposed to make you look like you’ve gotten a full night’s sleep so Wednesday mornings I’ll be slapping this on! (Class is Tuesday nights!)

The next item I’m slightly wary of. The Sunday Riley C.E.O. Rapid Flash Brightening Serum is a serum that is supposed to be anti-aging. Skin care hasn’t really been agreeing with my skin lately but I’m willing to give it a try since the name has my dream title of “C.E.O.” haha!

I finally bought a bottle of micellar water and now I get tons of samples of it in my boxes! The next item is Sephora Collection Triple Action Cleansing Water which is a micellar water cleanser. I really hope micellar water agrees with me!

And lastly is the bonus for the month, Gucci Bloom. This perfume is a floral fragrance, with a top note of rangoon creeper (idk too), jasmine bud, and tuberose. I sprayed it on to see what I thought (bad idea in case I hated it) and it smells sooooo good! I literally feel like I’m in a giant garden now. Of course, I need to wait for the top notes to disappear but so far I am really loving it.

So that’s my box! I really loved these items. There wasn’t an item that I was disappointed in seeing and I can’t wait to try these all out. Let me know if you’re interested in a review of any of these. I’ll be happy to do it!

Thanks for reading!

  1. Oh I’d love to hear how it goes with the miscellar water from Sephora. I’ve heard a lot of great things about using that as a cleanser so I think I want to get some xoxo
