My September Life!

Hi everyone! So it’s been an overall busy and stressful life this month! Does it translate well to a blog post? Well you tell me!

So first up my mom and I went to Six Flags the first weekend of the month before the park closed to prepare for Fright Fest. We rode a ton of coasters and had a great time overall! Then we went back the next day!

Somehow we decided Labor Day weekend was the best weekend to go to Hurricane Harbor. It kinda was since it wasn’t too hot and it was raining lightly so it wasn’t too crowded but it was still a holiday weekend so there were still lots of people. As it started raining they left though. So that was nice! And you get a photo my mom took of me as I enjoyed the lazy river!

I attended a day of communication workshops through my MBA program! It was pretty fun, and I did learn quite a bit. I’m so happy the program offers things like this and I hope they continue to do so.

Oh then a terrible thing! (Although not that terrible in the grand scheme of things.) I took a rock to the windshield and had to get the entire thing replaced. Luckily I was able to get it fixed during work as I found a company that would go to my work to fix it during the day but still stressful. At least I got a shiny new windshield now!

Something awesome that happened was that my department got workout gear through my work! (Hoodie featured in my favorites yesterday!) In addition to the hoodie, we got black leggings and a colorful shirt. Plus a lovely note! Well the ladies did. The guys got a black hoodie, grey shorts, and probably something else but I don’t remember because mine are cooler! (LOLS.) Unfortunately we’re not able to really wear any of it in the office but we’ve been getting away with the hoodies as our HR person is out on maternity leave. Yay!

Otherwise I have survived my first month of grad school! I think I’m adjusting well, but the thing I’ve noticed is that I have a feeling that if I pause for even one second to relax I’ll fall behind on my school work or my blog or something! But time management is always something I can work on so I’m not too worried yet. And luckily I’ve got A’s in both my classes so far!

So that’s my September life! I am excited for October and I hope it goes a little more smoothly. Let me know what you’ve been up to in September!

Thanks for reading!

  1. How lucky that you live so close to Six Flags, I’ve always wanted to go! That lazy river looks sooo relaxing. 😍

I wish my work gave me super nice free things like yours, workout outfits are quite spendy!

Sounds like you had a fun filled Sept.! Hope your Oct. is just as great or even better. 😄

    • I’m super happy I live so close. I love water parks and roller coasters so I love going! This is the first time we’ve gotten clothing but we do get free stuff often now that I think about it. Like food and water bottles mostly haha! You should bring it up to your manager and see if it’s something the company could do!
Hope you have an awesome October! 😀

  2. Ouch about the windscreen. My new car when I went to look at it had a massive chip in the windscreen but thankfully they’ve managed to fill it in for me. There’s still a bit of a crack but it doesn’t annoy me and it’s safe now!

  3. Six Flags is a lot of fun and Hurricane Harbor sounds like a lot of fun too. I like your swim suit. Workout gear is always exciting. For September, I celebrated my birthday, my friend’s birthday, added decoration to my place, worked on a couple of projects for school, exercised and spent some time at an art exhibit :), so it was a productive month.
