My September Favorites!

Hi everyone! Time for my September Favorites! This month feels like it’s flown by yet also crawled along slowly, strangely enough. Does anyone else have months like that?

Anyway, I also feel cheated. We started having a lovely start to the fall recently and then on the first day of fall it was over 90 degrees (F) out! Apparently that’s record breaking. Yay.

Although I do have to say that I’m super happy that the AC is on again. I love when it’s colder in the house as I love sweaters, blankets, long sleeves with thumb holes, scarves, boots, aka just anything you use when it’s cold out. So I’m sad that now we have an extra week of summer.

Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy summer too, but I enjoy it less than most people I think. I know I’m not the only one out there too!

Okay, back to the favorites!

So first up, the beauty favorites!

Going from left to right, I’ve reviewed these Kat Von D products already but the Saint Perfume and the Lock-It Concealer have been amazing. I use the Saint perfume as my everyday perfume right now and I did actually pick up the concealer this past weekend to use my Sephora Play box points voucher (I get 50 free points with a purchase). I only used the sample a few times but the thing is that it’s too dark for me so I picked up a shade that I think should match. We’ll see!

I’ve also enjoyed the Blistex Lip Vibrance Lip Balm with SPF 15. I love this lip balm as it does leave a sheer red tint behind as well as moisturizes. I have dry lips allll the time (which is a shame because I love matte lipsticks) so I often just use this to get some color.

The next favorite is the L’Occitane Dry Skin Hand Cream. I don’t actually have dry hands… But I got this hand cream when I redeemed some points at Sephora with a different L’Occitane product (a shower gel I think). Since I hadn’t tried anything from this brand but have heard a lot about it I figured I’d try it out. I don’t regret spending some points for this because it is quite good! It doesn’t feel sticky (which is why I hate most lotions and won’t use them even when my hands do feel dry) and the scent is clean, not overpowering. I love it!

The next favorite is one I’ve talked about before. I hadn’t used it in awhile but absolutely loved it when I tried it over the weekend. The funny thing is, I didn’t even like it when I first got it! It’s the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer with SPF 20. It’s very lightweight and just is the best “your skin but better” tinted moisturizer.

The next item is an aromatherapy item, TempleSpa Quietude Calming Mist. It has scents of lavender, patchouli, grapefruit, and thyme. I got this spray from a coworker as she received a ton of items from a Crowne Plaza hotel she’s worked with in the past and she handed them out to all members of our department. I think it smells great although I don’t know if I would say it’s calming necessarily.

And lastly of the beauty favorites, the Maybelline FitMe! Loose Finishing Powder in 20 Light Medium. You might remember my review way back in the day of various FitMe! products (back in early 2016 so this is way, way back!) and I was always impressed with those products. I still use all of those products today, so when I saw the new loose powder, I had to try it! I think it’s amazing and I will likely update my review with this new product at some point. Let me know if that’s something you’re interested in seeing!

Two more favorites for the month! First is the Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte! That’s right, I gave into my basic self and got a PSL. I’d actually ordered the Pumpkin Spice Chai Tea Latte but ah well, I’ll just get that next time.

The other favorite is this hoodie I’m wearing! I got it from work and don’t remember the brand but I love it! We all ordered hoodies way back in March of this year (we were given several options and everyone picked hoodies) and got them this month along with a few other goodies that I’ll mention in tomorrow’s post. I don’t think I look particularly good in grey but it’s so soft, comfy, and warm and it has thumb holes! Since the company name is on it and our HR person is out on maternity leave we’ve been able to get away with wearing it almost everyday. Technically we’re only allowed to wear hoodies on Fridays but as long as no one says anything, we’re taking advantage! Now we just need to pick a day of the week so we can all wear it and match.

So that’s my favorites for the month! Let me know what you guys have been loving recently. I’d love to know!

Thanks for reading!

  1. I have yet to try Starbucks’ Pumpkin Spice Latte, but I’m sure I’d enjoy it! I feel the same way about fall, haha – we had a bit of a mild cold front after Hurricane Irma brushed past our area, then that same time the following week, it was back to feeling like summer. I wish autumn had come to stay! Hopefully, it actually comes here to GA soon.

  2. I love L’Occitane products and their creams in particular – they always have really nice subtle smells unlike some products which makes me feel a bit ill. And I am yet to try a PSL! This year will definitely be when I jump upon the trend lol x

  3. September favorites: I have created new memories of college life. One day, all my suitemates, which was two days ago at 10:30 at night drove to Shelby, which is ten minutes to twenty minutes away from where my school is to get milkshakes at cookout. One September favorite is still yet to come, which is on Saturday, which is seeing Rent with my mom and dad.
