Target Beauty Box – August 2017!

Hi everyone! So I had been thinking of signing up to get some subscription boxes for awhile and finally made a decision! The first one I signed up for was the Target Beauty Box. I also signed up for another subscription but that one hasn’t come in yet so I’ll only go into this one today.

Oh, and before we go on, the lovely Bea featured me on her “Get to Know” series last week! She also featured me on her “Appreciation” post which was such a lovely surprise! Bea, if you don’t know her already, is an amazing blogger who posts about everything! She does amazing outfit posts, posts weekly motivation for fitness workouts, has a hilarious series called “As Told by a Substitute” that I adore, and so much more amazing content. If you don’t know her yet, go check her out!

Okay and back to the Beauty Box we go!

I don’t believe it’s strictly a subscription, I think you have to opt in and buy it each month when it’s released. It’s only $7 which is pretty cheap and I get free shipping with my Red Debit Card (this box is sold online only and the Red Card is the Target card you can get as debit or credit). This post is not sponsored by the way (I wish), I bought this with my own money. (Target, sponsor me.) I’ve read that the boxes tend to sell out quickly, which I didn’t know. I bought my box the week before last, got it last week, and when I checked this week when writing this post it was sold out so that’s something to keep in mind.

The box came with a card listing each item and a coupon for $3 off $15 or more beauty purchase. It’s such a plain but pretty box, and I was excited to get into it!

The first item in the box is the Target brand Up & Up Makeup Remover Towelettes. I had actually just run out of my Neutrogena ones so this was perfect timing. I have used these before and I do love them so I was happy to receive them in my box. They are full size, which was amazing, and normally retail for $3.84.

Next is a Dove Dry Spray Invisible Deodorant. I haven’t tried a spray deodorant below so I am not sure how I’ll feel about it but I do plan to try it. It says that it’s 48hr protection and the product claims to dry quickly and clear. This is a full size product and the price is $5.49 for it. I’ve been using Tom’s Deodorant that doesn’t have aluminum and is a bit more natural but I’m willing to give this a shot.

The next product is a sample size of the Herbal Essences Repair Argan Oil of Morocco Shampoo. This shampoo is meant to be for overprocessed hair, which mine isn’t but it is paraben free with is great. It’s also color safe which doesn’t really affect me either. I might keep this for if we go on a trip. Or I might give it to my mom so she can try it out.

The next sample is the Garnier Clearly Brighter Daily Scrub. I love trying new scrubs as I haven’t found that I really like that much yet. However I’ve been having problems with breakouts so I’m not sure if I’ll try it right away.

There is also one strip of the Biore Deep Cleansing Pore Strips, which I do know I love. I think the main difference between this one and the regular ones is that these come with a fun design!

And lastly is this SpaLife Nourishing Facial Mask. I had actually just bought a couple of face masks so I wasn’t super excited to see this but it does look so happy and bright! It is paraben and sulfate free as well as cruelty free so that’s amazing to hear! It retails for $2.49 which is a good amount.

Overall I liked the box. The three full sized items alone are worth more than the box price and the samples are of good brands as well. I’m excited to try the products as I’m only familiar with the towelettes. And the coupon is pretty great too although it expires on the 27th so I’m not sure if I’ll use it!

So that’s the Target Beauty Box! Let me know if you have tried this box and if so what you thought. This is my first time getting it so I’m not sure if it’s the same for everyone or if they can vary in the products. I don’t think so although the website does have links for these or similar products in case you like them and want to purchase full sizes or a new item.

Thanks for reading!

  1. This looks like a good box! It’s great to try stuff out and the best part is you can find all the stuff you got at target if you really like it and it won’t be ridiculously expensive. The small stuff in here would be great for travel! Great post! Love the box! 🙂

  2. I love Target beauty boxes, I like how your box focuses a lot on skin care, which can often be neglected :). It’s been awhile since I’ve ordered one, I’ll have to check out the next month’s box then.

  3. WHHHHAT?!?! I didn’t know target did this! I used to do Ipsy, but then I was getting a lot of stuff that I wasn’t using. I did it for a little over a year. Now that I’m running low on some makeup I want to start up on it again!
