If We Were Having Coffee – July 2017

Hi everyone! I loved doing the “If We Were Having Coffee” post last month so I thought I’d do it again! I actually kinda want to do this once a month, although I don’t think so many people have done this type of post lately. But I really like it so I’m going to keep doing it!

Chai Tea Latte

If we were having coffee, I would be having an iced chai tea latte again! Light ice though.

If we were having coffee, I would tell you how I accidentally did a leap instead of an arabesque in ballet class last night! Whoops! At least it caused a good laugh.

If we were having coffee, I would tell you how my car battery decided to die on Wednesday morning. The one day I needed it to work as I had a job interview almost first thing! Shout out to my sister who let me borrow her car! My new battery has a lifetime warranty so hopefully I won’t have that issue again.

If we were having coffee, I would tell you how much I’m enjoying this summer. It’s not overly eventful but it’s so nice and hasn’t been too terribly hot. Except yesterday when it was 90 degrees. Yeesh.

If we were having coffee, I would tell you how amazing everyone’s blogs and posts have been lately. Seriously! It’s so inspiring to see everyone’s hard work.

If we were having coffee, I would tell you how happy I am to have reached 500 followers on this blog! I never would have thought there would be so many people reading what I have to say.

If we were having coffee, I would tell you how excited I am to share my YouTube Q and A video with you on Saturday morning! I think I’m going to leave it all night as I can’t close the page until it’s done. I should have left it while I was at ballet!

500 Followers Q and A Announcement

If we were having coffee, I would tell you that I renewed my Broadway in Chicago subscription! Super last minute but I did! Four more shows as a season subscriber. I’m so excited! For my current season I have two musicals coming up this month.

If we were having coffee, I would tell you how much I want to go on a hike. I’m going to try to get my friend Erin to go with me so she can 1) take lots of photos and 2) so if we get lost I can blame her. We would likely go in October or something like that so it’s not too hot out!

If we were having coffee, I would tell you since my ballet class is over next month I want to start looking for another class to take. But I don’t know if my grad school plans will go through yet as I haven’t gotten my last letter of recommendation in and until that’s done and my interview is done, I won’t know if I got in or not. If I don’t, I’m going to be able to plan a lot of things. If I do, well, the next two years might be a bit light on the adventures around here. I’m sad at that prospect but school has always come first as education is very important for me.

If we were having coffee, I would tell you I need to stop watching laser eye surgery youtube videos. I’ve only seen three (Fun for Louis, Tanya Burr, and Fleur De Force’s videos) but they freak me out! Still, I need that someday. I have terrible vision and in a zombie apocalypse I might as well be the first to go. I won’t make it once I run out of contacts anyway!

If we were having coffee, I would tell you I posted twice yesterday on Instagram. Whoops. I know people are against it but I have an exciting life sometimes! I need to document it! My Instagram really is like a photo diary.

If we were having coffee, I would tell you how my sister and I are so excited to start watching the Smosh Summer Games videos on YouTube. We watched the first one last night before my ballet class. They make me wish I worked at Smosh! I’d probably be a really fun Smosh member, don’t you think?

If we were having coffee, I would tell you how great it’s been to catch up with you over coffee and that we should do it again next month!

  2. Pamela!! I’m so unbelievably excited for this vlog! When I saw saturday morning I was super excited till I realized you’re like 18 hours behind me so I have to wait till tomorrow 😂 You should totally go on a hike! They’re so much fun, and you get the best views!
    I’m also impressed by everyone’s blogging game lately, there’s so much inspiration out there! 🙂

    • Oh no! Hahaha but it is tomorrow if it ever uploads! It keeps stopping!
      I really do want to go on a hike! But in October when it cooler and I won’t die. 😅
      I don’t know what’s going on but I like it! Everyone’s posts are amazing!!!

  4. Girl I’ve been talking about this video all week!! Telling my mom how many days left until you make it live and stuff 😂😂 ahh congrats on 500 followers!! 💖 (did I already tell you that? 😂 or is this the first time? Oh well.) hahaha why is there that unspoken rule about Instagram posting?? When I was on IG a while ago, I always felt nervous about doing more than one post like I was being obnoxious or something, lol! Also I can’t watch surgery-type videos at all; they make me too nervous! 😂 Lasik eye surgery sounds so strange, although I don’t know a thing about it. I thoroughly enjoyed having coffee with you this morning, Pamela! 😊 I still need to try your iced chai latte! The next time I visit Starbucks I will!

    • Awwwww Maggie! That’s so sweet of you!!! Today’s the day!!! Finally got it to upload and it’ll go live 9am my time so I think that’s 10 your time. (I’m always mixing it up even though half the people I work with are on EST 😂) I have a blog post with a link already scheduled as well!!! And thank you!! 😘
      I think it’s there because people don’t want to feel like they’re getting “spammed” or whatever. But I know I get happy seeing posts from my friends so I don’t have an issue with it at all! I just know I’m not supposed to but forget the rules!!!
      It’s terrible don’t watch the videos. I would be so terrified I’m sure if I was going to get it done but I wish I could see all the time hahaha.
      I’m glad you enjoyed it Maggie! We should have coffee together allllll the time! 😀

      • Yay!!!!! Haha I was having problems with uploading on YouTube recently; it would get to say 47% done, then the time it would supposedly take to finish processing started going up. 😐 I don’t know what’s wrong with it! Yes it’s 10AM for me, I checked on my phone’s world clock 😂
        That’s true. But like you said, seeing a few posts ends up being so much fun! Because then you can learn more about the person and what they’re up to 😄 it’s pretty hard to sum up a moment in just one picture, honestly!! That’s why I enjoyed doing collages sometimes.

      • Yeah I left mine uploading overnight but my laptop screen went to screensaver and it stopped uploading. I literally had to sit there next to it for awhile yesterday just moving the mouse randomly for it to finish. Sigh! But now it’s done and ready to go!
        Yeah I want to know what everyone’s lives are like and one picture isn’t enough!!! 😂

      • Hahahah I’ve had to do the exact same thing before!! It shouldn’t be allowed to go to the screensaver (or standby) while video-uploading. Same! 😂

      • I’ll have to look into that! I’ve never changed those settings so I think they’re still at whatever default there is. I manually put it to sleep usually but that would be helpful to make sure it doesn’t stop uploading!

      • I’ve fiddled with those settings a little over the years, and they’re quite helpful! (I’ve looked at them on my phone at least – the screen kept going dim while I was trying to copy down a drawing! 😂)

  5. I love this so much! I love really getting to know about you and this is such a great way to do it! If we were having coffee, I would order a cold brew with vanilla sweet cream and tell you about how excited I am to go see a production of Pride & Prejudice tonight

    • Thank you!!! ☺️ I know plenty of people who only drink hot coffee and if you think about it, it’s so cold in most buildings because of the air conditioning that warm coffee makes sense too! I’ll definitely check it out!

  7. I found you on goldenopinkjournal! I also love Harry Potter, I know sign language (that was my major in college the first time around), and I took ballet all through high school!
