Product Review – GlamGlow YouthMud!

Hi everyone! I’m back with another bueauty review! Today I”m reviewing the GlamGlow YouthMud Tinglexfoliate Treatment. I received this sample from one of the Sephora 500 point perks, which contained 4 different samples. Back in February I reviewed the SuperMud which you can read if you’re interested.

I hadn’t tried another one of the samples (if you read the SuperMud review you’ll know why) but I spent 500 points on it so I had to try another one eventually!

GlamGlow YouthMud

The instructions are simple for this mask. You apply a thin layer to clean skin, leave on for at least 10 minutes, and then remove the mask with water in circular motions to exfoliate at the same time. The tube does say that there will be a tingling effect that lasts 10 minutes or less, to use twice a week or as desired, and that it is not meant for sensitive skin.

I also looked up the mask on Sephora.com (not an affiliate link or anything, I just wanted to be helpful) and it says it’s good for all skin types (doesn’t exclude sensitive skin though). The site further explains the mask is designed to help with fine lines/wrinkles, dryness, and dullness/uneven texture. The mask is made without parabens, sulfates, and phthalates and has high ratings from users.

I was surprised at how much I liked this mask! I actually didn’t read the tube first so I didn’t know it wasn’t meant for sensitive skin. If I had, I likely wouldn’t have used it because my skin does tend to be more sensitive than not. By that time, the mask was already tingling so I decided to leave it on and give it a shot.

The tingling was more intense than I expected, it was more like burning rather than tingling at first! But it did subside and felt nice after the initial minute or so. Due to the intensity of the burning sensation, I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone with really sensitive skin.

I had a hard time waiting to wash it off because I was watching YouTube videos and kept laughing. I don’t recommend watching funny YouTube videos while wearing this mask. Or any mask that hardens.

I really liked how my skin felt after I used the mask. My skin felt much smoother and I do think that since then the bit of acne I have been struggling with has cleared up a bit, although fully yet. I didn’t see any  brightening that I can remember but I was more concerned with the smoothing effect as I don’t have a good exfoliating product right now.

Since I do have skin that is more sensitive than not, I haven’t used it a second time yet as I want to leave more time in between each application. If something changes my opinion on this product after the second time I’ll come back and update this review. Otherwise I did like it but I don’t think I’ll repurchase due to the price.

And that’s my review on the YouthMud mask! Have you tried this? Let me know what you thought if you have!

Thanks for reading!
