Hi everyone! I missed World Book Day (April 23) but I still am excited to do this tag! The amazing Maggie from Dreaming of Guatemala inspired me to do this tag, so here we are! Almost a month later, sorry Maggie! But thank you for the inspiration! Plus this #BirthMay has been severely lacking in book posts.
So this month I am blogging everyday for my birthday and calling it #BirthMay! My birthday was May 12th but I’m still blogging until the end of the month! Tag Me Tuesday is my series where I do tags/awards/etc. on Tuesdays to catch up with them, and I’ve added a Thursday Edition as well this month. As you can see, I am quite behind on them but am trying hard to catch up!
Onto the tag!
- Do you get sick while reading in the car?
Not really, actually it helps distract me from feeling sick. Although if the destination is too far then I feel sick anyway. It’s more of distance than activities for me! - Which author’s writing style is completely unique to you and why?
I am going to pick Sarah J. Maas as I just finished A Court of War and Ruin and love all her books thus far. I really feel that her stories pull me in and is just the perfect amount of fantasy for me. - The Harry Potter Series or Twilight saga? Give three points to defend your answer
Harry Potter!!! How is this a question? The story is better, the characters are stronger, the world comes alive just from the words on the page, and never has a series inspired the world as much as J.K. Rowling’s books have. - Do you carry a book bag? If so, what is in it (besides books)?
Not really, only to Six Flags to carry all my stuff in so my phone, portable charger, credit card, towel, change of clothes, and a ton of sunscreen. - Do you smell your books?
Of course! - Books with or without little illustrations?
Without unless it’s a tiny one introducing the chapters like the Harry Potter books. Otherwise, I don’t need them. - What is the thinnest book on your shelf?
I think it would be a tiny little book I got on Gaudi architecture I bought during my study abroad semester in Barcelona. I wanted to have a little book to remember it by. It’s only 30 or so pages I think. - What is the thickest book on your shelf?
Probably the Alexander Hamilton book. That’s over 700 and it’s my best guess but honestly I have many, many large books. I’m a nerd! - When did you get into reading?
Well the way my mom tells it I basically learned to read because my sister was born and my mom couldn’t read to me anymore so I got annoyed because I wanted to be read stories ALL DAY LONG. I still read at any given opportunity. - What is your favorite classic book?
The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. I read this last year and I read it at just the right time for me. It really helped me face my anxiety and refocus on my life ahead. - In school, what was your best subject?
History for sure! - If you were given a book as a present that you had read before and hated, what would you do?
I don’t get books very often actually. I tend to get socks more so I have the opposite of Professor Dumbledore’s problem! If I did I would probably still say thank you and be polite but depending on what it was I might have to get rid of it. If it was something non-offensive I’d keep or donate but if it was written by say a certain orange president I’d burn it probably. Not sorry. - What is your favorite word?
Right now it’s “snarky”. I can’t stop using it! - Full-on romance or action-packed with a few love scenes mixed in?
Oh action-packed for sure. I am 0% romantic! I’ll take the time now and apologize to my future hubby (whoever he is) for all the forgotten anniversaries. I’m never going to remember those. I’ll make up for it on Christmas and birthday though (probably).
And that’s the Ultimate Book Tag! If you’re interested in doing this tag just comment below saying “Tag Me!” and you’re tagged! 🙂
Thanks for reading!
Pamela
Haha! I was wandering around a book store recently and ended up in the romance section then panicked – people can’t see me there 😂 Harry Potter for life and of course The Alchemist is a fav – I just read The Spy. Very good if you haven’t read it.

The Goldfinch is amazing. It’s really well written and entertaining. The book is 700 odd pages long but I read it over a weekend it’s that good! Xx

I’m sorry, the orange president is not smart enough to write a book.

I know, he had a few books out already, probably ghost writers. I’d still burn them.
