Product Empties! – #BirthMay Day 17

Hi everyone! Let me show you my trash!

Haha at least that’s how I explained it to my mother when she asked why I had so many empty products. Somehow all I had to say was “I need to show my trash on my blog” and she went “Oh gotcha.” She already suspects I’m a hoarder (she’s not wrong) so this is great.

Anyway, real quick, #BirthMay is my month long celebration of my birthday! My birthday was the 12th but I’m blogging everyday this month.

Let’s get started!

For my makeup empties I first used up my Maybelline FitMe! in shade 228. If you’ll remember, I bought two other shades that were too dark for me before I bought this one. I finally used it up and need to repurchase! I also finished two Benefit Big Easy BB Creams in shade 05 beige. I want to repurchase these but I don’t think I will, as I do want to try other products.

I also used up my Maybelline FitMe! Pressed Powder in 230 Natural Buff. I’ve already repurchased this item. I actually keep it at my desk at work because I have an oily t-zone and like to powder towards the middle of the day. I also used up my Lypsyl lip balm. I haven’t repurchased this exact one (this is the honey one) but I did get the mint one.

Next is my hair products. I have used the Suave Sun-Ripened Strawberry shampoo (haven’t used up the conditioner yet) and conditioner for awhile but then I noticed it wasn’t really doing it’s job. I’m convinced my hair gets bored of the same product quickly. I switched to another Suave shampoo and conditioner. The shampoo is the Suave Keratin Infusion and the conditioner is Suave Honey Infusion. I really liked these two products and did repurchase the shampoo and conditioner of the Honey one. I do want to try both Keratin ones but they’re always sold out when I go to Target.

And some candles! I have an Ellen Tracy candle that I’ve had for quite awhile. I think I bought it at a TJ Maxx or something. I don’t remember the exact name or scent that much but it smells like butterscotch and is very warm and nice. My other one is Bath and Body Works Paris Daydream. I loved this one as well. It’s very watery and is described as moss and mandarin. I loved, loved, loved this one and burned it until it refused to burn anymore. I won’t be repurchasing them because I’m not sure they’re even still being sold but also because I have a million more candles to go through!

And that’s it! Garbage day was today so it feels so good to have tossed these old products out! Let me know what you’ve used up lately!

Thank you for reading!

  1. Hahaha, I looooove how you opened up this post!! 😂👌🏼💕 Finishing up hair care/makeup/skin care products is so satisfying, and I’m not sure why. Maybe because we were dedicated and got our money’s worth? lol I don’t know! And I bet those candles smell(ed) amazing! 😍😍 I love most candles.

    • Hahahahaha glad you enjoyed it Maggie! I figured I might as well open it honestly 😂 and plus all the stuff did go right into the bin. I think you’re right, we have used those products steadily and we finally reached the end! I do miss that Paris candle. It smelled so good! But I have a million candles (I’m secretly a hoarder in training) so I have so many that are waiting for attention! 😀

      • Hehe yup! Honesty is the best way 😂 If my wallet was a little bigger (aka had more in it), I would buy way to many candles. As it is now, I can’t afford much of anything 😂

      • Understandable! Hahaha I’ve only been able to buy them since I started working so that’s why I have so many. For awhile I had no impulse control! 😂 Now I’m trying to use up what I have.
