BirthMay! – Blog Announcements & Updates – Day 1

Hey everyone! And hello May! I had a great April but my birthday is in May so I’m very excited for the month! I have quite a few announcements for today regarding my blog, and I’m quite excited!

BirthMay 2017!

First up, I’m announcing BirthMay! In celebration of my birthday this month I’ll be blogging every day in May!

So this is an idea I had when I first started my blog late in 2015 but I was too shy to do it last year. This year I feel a lot more confident in my blogging and I’m ready to do it! I have most days planned out already but I’m leaving it pretty flexible.

For the most part my usual themes for Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (entertainment, beauty, hobbies/anything else respectively) will remain the same and I’ll fill the other dates with other fun posts.

If you have any requests or suggestions for blog posts from me, now’s your chance! Leave me a comment below if you have an idea to share with me!

Blog Updates

I had a few blog milestones in April that I hadn’t written about yet. I always feel nervous sharing these although I know I shouldn’t. Like most other bloggers I’ve read, I don’t blog for the numbers or to become “internet famous” or anything, but it can still be nerve wracking for me to share these updates because I feel so many people reach them faster or reached them long ago or something. However I decided I’d share them because they make me happy and super thankful to everyone who’s helped me reach them!

Early in April (April 5th to be exact) I reached 1,000 likes on my blog! That was so exciting for me. I’m also happy that WordPress told me about this because I probably wouldn’t know I had reached this without the notification!

On April 11th I got to 200 followers! Wow! It seems like such a big number! It’s so nice to see this number come up. Right now we’re at 235 followers, and I’m so flattered that there are so many people following me. 🙂

Finally, on April 17 I got a notification that I had written 200 posts! It seems both so many and so little at the same time. I started my blog writing 1 post a week, upped to 2 when I realized I liked writing for my blog too much to limit myself that much, and then happily upped to 3 which I have been doing for a long time. I wrote more for Blogmas when I wrote every day so I guess all of those changes ended up to 200 posts thus far! We’re currently at 208 with this post. I can’t wait to write many more!

  1. Congrats on the 1,000 likes and the 200 followers, Pamela! That is awesome! Reaching blog milestones is so exciting. Yaaay I’m looking forward to all the posts you’ll be doing this month! My favorite posts are room tours, try-on hauls, book hauls, day in the life, what’s on my phone/tablet, makeup looks … haha the list goes on! I’ll be happy to read whatever you come up with 🙂
