Hi everyone! Today I’m doing the Sunshine Blogger Award for Tag Me Tuesday from the amazing Valerie of Living Lighter in Atlanta! Valerie’s blog is one of my favorites and she is such a wonderful person. If you haven’t come across her blog yet I suggest you do!

Oh and really quick since I’ve done a few of these already. If I get tagged or nominated for an award I do one a week on Tuesdays! Hence “Tag Me Tuesday!” I only do these posts if I have pending awards and at the moment I do have four more I believe. (I could be miscounting. They’re written in my little planner three feet away but I’m too lazy to check.) So if I finish all those pending tags/awards I won’t post the following Tuesday. If I get another nomination then I’ll post it the following Tuesday!

Here are my answers to Valerie’s questions:

What are three activities that bring you happiness?
I love reading a lot, it’s always been one of my favorite things to do. Blogging is another, since it lets me be so creative and lets me share what I have to say. It’s also given me a nice little community to be a part of that I didn’t expect. I would say the last activity is surprising decorating! I had a blast decorating the spare bedroom in my house into a home office for myself. I don’t particularly need a home office, but I really wanted one so I fixed it up and I love spending time in there!

When you are feeling down, what kinds of things do you do to try and lift your spirits?
I speak with my parents about what’s going on. They always encourage me and give me great advice. Spending time with my family and having a fun little adventure always helps!

What are some of your favorite funny movies (comedies)?
Comedies aren’t my favorite movies so this one is tough! I did love Mean Girls and Sisters, both starring Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. Those two women are hilarious!

Who is your favorite comedian, and what do you like about him/her?
I would probably pick Amy Poehler because I just really loved her tv show Parks and Recreation. If you’ve seen it, I am basically Leslie Knope so I really relate to that show!

Does money buy happiness?
I used to think so but now I would say no. I supposed the argument could be made that having money relieves the stress of trying to put food on the table, keep a roof over you head, etc. which will keep you content but in the end money cannot buy true happiness.

Were your parents happy when you were growing up? Why do you think they were/were not?
They were! I like to think it’s because I came into their lives. Haha, seriously though I think it’s because they respect each other, love each other, and have supported each other throughout their marriage. I think they both wanted certain things in life, such as a family, to see their daughters graduate college, and so on and they did it together and appreciated each others sacrifices throughout their journey.

What makes you laugh out loud?
Pretty much everything! If someone at work says something funny, or I read a funny passage in a blog or in a book I’m laughing. It also creates a bit of an issue when a podcast I’m listening to is funny and then I try to not laugh out loud at work. Not that I’m the only one listening to podcasts but still!

Does the weather affect your mood?
I would say that rainy days make me sleepy but other than that I don’t think so. I never have a problem getting out of bed unless it’s raining out!

What in your life are you currently looking forward to?
I am looking forward to my trip to Houston next week for work! (I’m writing this a week early, so I guess when this is posted I’m actually in Houston! Hey future me, are you enjoying Houston? Also how many times can I say Houston in one paragraph?) I’m going to be working a lot and my feet will likely hurt but I don’t care, I’m going to Houston! My goal is to get into the lazy river at my hotel. It’s shaped like Texas!!! Have you ever imagined such a thing? I love it already!
