Hey everyone! I have a few favorites for this month, although I have to admit it’s hard to find favorites while on a spending freeze! Its usually easy when I buy new things because then I’m obsessed with those things and then I could put those in at the end of the month. Also it’s hard to have new favorites all the time, but I really like being able to highlight stuff I like. These posts will likely be a lot shorter than they have in the past but I still will keep doing them!
Here we go!
This is the second month in a row for my Benefit Big Easy BB Cream! I normally don’t like Benefit products, although I used to love them when I first started discovering makeup. I always felt like I was able to find better products. I do like this one though because it is so easy to put on and looks good throughout the day. It’s very dependable although I might be using a shade that’s a tad too dark.
I’ve been adding a few products to my every day routine. For most of the winter I have used a very simple make up look but I feel my hands itching towards more and more products and feeling inspired to make new looks! One of those products has been the Rimmel Kate Moss Sculpting Palette in 002 Coral Glow. I really love this one although I think it’s made for beginners to make up. The colors aren’t that pigmented so it’s great for subtle sculpting and it would be hard to use too much product. I know that doesn’t sound great but it’s been nice as I’ve eased myself back into more makeup.
For my nighttime routine I’ve moved back to the Ole Henriksen Nurture Me moisturizer. It’s so smooth and lovely, and I love the smell. It reminds me of ice cream and summer and overall happiness so this is always one of my favorites!
Now onto my non beauty favorites!
I have used up the candle that I was using in my bedroom so I started a new one! I have been using the Bath and Body Works London Calling candle. The scent is tea, lemon, and sugar and is in a cute little red tin with a nice label of London on it. It isn’t the usual scent I’d go for. I think it’s quite sharp but I ‘m still using my Sandalwood Citrus candle in my home office which is right next to my bedroom so I figured that it would be nice to have a theme with my candles!
Next is a cute little bag that my parents brought back for me from Mexico last month! It says “Morelia” on it because that’s the city they’re from and where they were visiting family although my mom thought it was silly that the “M” is embroidered in blue and the bag is blue. I loved Morelia when I visited last year, it was such a cute city! Now I’ll admit that I haven’t used it quite yet but I still really like it and thought it was such a nice gift!
My favorite app has been Duolingo! I did all of the Spanish lessons (native speaker so that was kind of cheating as I tested out of nearly everything) and am working on French. It annoys me that I can’t switch to Spanish as a primary language without losing my progress in French. I really want to do the Catalan lessons but I would have to start over in French. But it’s been fun and I feel like I’m picking up French quickly! Although if I were to actually try to speak French I likely would fail miserably!
Lastly, I have two movie favorites! You’ll likely be able to guess them but they are Logan and Beauty and the Beast. I won’t go on about them too long because I did separate reviews on each of them. I really loved both of these because I thought they were beautiful tributes to honor the world they were inspired from. Logan is the final Wolverine centered film and Hugh Jackman’s goodbye to the character. It was such a great film that finally gave us a Wolverine movie done right. Beauty and the Beast is a live action remake of Disney’s 1991 animated film and it was a stunningly beautiful film. Emma Watson proved to be up to the challenge of portraying the iconic Belle and did not disappoint!
And those are my favorites for the month. Short and sweet! (I hope!) Let me know what you’ve been loving this month. I’d love to know!
Thanks for reading!
Ooh, I bet that candle smells fantastic! 😍
My teenage daughter has done DuoLingo, too. I started learning French in high school but didn’t get very far, lol.
I’ve been loving a few things in March as well: the cocoa butter cream, music by the band, Outspoken, and cozy mysteries on my Kindle! ^_^

I love the candle! And duolingo is fun but I get so annoyed because it makes me practice old ones so much. Although I think that’s supposed to be a good thing. 😂
Oooo I’ll have to listen to Outspoken. I’m trying to branch out in the music I listen to, which is mostly just musical theatre. I have to admit, I don’t read ebooks, but I totally want to try it!
