GlamGlow SuperMud Product Review: Take 2!

Hey everyone! So it seems my last post deleted all of my text when it went live!

As a result this won’t be as in depth of a review unfortunately but I’ll make up for it in the next one!

Essentially I received a box of samples from Sephora as a 500 point reward. I usually don’t use my points but I’d wanted to try the GlamGlow masks for some time now and figured it was as good a time as any.

The first mask I’ll review is the SuperMud cleansing mask. On the Sephora website the description of this mask does say that it is good for any skin type and paraben free.

The directions are easy enough. You apply an even thin layer on your face and leave it on 5-20 minutes. This mask is meant to target pores, acne, oiliness, and overall complexion.

I have to be honest, I didn’t like this mask at all. It was very difficult to get an even layer on as the mask seemed to lift whenever I tried to put more on the spots I missed. It also didn’t seem very strong as it peeled off when I lightly ran my fingers on the edge of the mask to test if it was truly dry yet. It flaked off incredibly easily so I didn’t think it was doing much.

Plus I didn’t notice anything different in my skin after using it although the product boasted that over 90% of users saw notice results after one use. My pores looked no different than before the mask and I didn’t notice a change, immediate or otherwise.

I did test this product twice. The first time I left it on for 20 minutes and was having a pretty good skin day to begin with. The second I left on longer actually since I lost track of time, but was having a terrible skin day. Both times I didn’t notice anything more than what a regular cleanser would do so I was unimpressed by this product. I wouldn’t recommend it at all.

I do have three other samples to try from my reward so I’m going to give those masks a shot, but so far GlamGlow is not living up to the hype!

Let me know if you’ve tried this mask and, if so, what did you think?

Thanks for reading!
