Hi everyone! I am finally doing another beauty product review! Today I’ll be going over the L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation.
I know this one has been super popular for quite some time in the beauty community, but that was around the same time I had discovered the Maybelline FitMe! Foundation so I didn’t give this one a try. Recently I finally decided to pick it up when I saw it on sale at Target. The one I bought is 108 Caramel Beige.
I can definitely see why it’s a highly praised product. This color is just a little too dark for me, so I wish I had gotten a lighter color, but I’ve still kept trying this one to really put it to the test.
It is more of a semi-matte look, but with powder I have found that you can get an extremely matte and long-wearing look. I have used it with my Cover FX powder to get that matte look and to set it. I also use the Infalliblle setting spray by L’Oreal as well if I don’t want such an extreme matte look.
I do still get oily in my t-zone, but nothing that some more light powder can fix. During the day I use the Maybelline FitMe powder as I keep it at my desk at work. Unfortunately it doesn’t quite hold onto my nose but I wipe my nose so often that it’s really because of that. I don’t have the problem that it slides about when applying it as I do with other foundations, so I’m not blaming the product for that.
Oh, and I’ve tested it with different primers. I’ve used the Maybelline Master Prime (a personal favorite), the Laura Mercier primer (another favorite), and the Benefit Porefessional (not my favorite). Through all of these primers the foundation has looked amazing although the best one that I have found is the Laura Mercier.
Overall, I think this foundation is a great product. It lasts all day, maintains a mostly matte look throughout, and has good, buildable coverage. It’s very easy and quick to blend, which cuts down my morning routine considerably and I will definitely be purchasing a lighter color soon!
Let me know if you’ve tried this foundation and if you’ve liked it as well! I’m curious to know your thoughts.
