Hi everyone! You know how your skin tends to get drier in the winter? That’s totally what’s happening to me! And it’s terrible!
I’m so used to having combination/oily skin that I’m caught off guard with how dry my skin has been. It normally does dry out a little but not this much! This is what I’ve been using to try to combat that issue.
I’ll start with the usual products; I’ve talked about these before. For my daytime moisturizer my trusty Estee Lauder Daywear! I haven’t found anything I like as much as this yet! It’s so lightweight and has SPF, which is amazing!
Most nights I use my Ole Henriksen Nurture Me Moisturizer. It’s very thick so I really feel it stays on longer and absorbed more fully.
For my eyes I do use a sample right now of the Bobbi Brown Hydrating Eye Cream. I always mean to pick up a full size but I just haven’t gotten around to it.
And when I’m in need of a quick hydrating mist I turn to the Benefit Ultra Radiance Face Mist. It’s a very fine mist that evenly coats my entire face and really provides the moisture I need!
I’ve mentioned these before but I have really been using them a lot more lately. These are the Laneige Perfect Renew Emulsion and the Laneige Water Serum. They were both from my mom who got them at Target. At first I was confused because she had told me they were for dry skin. The bottles say all skin types though and I think they do work for all types but the serum has been especially helpful while my skin has been dry. It really instantly refreshes my skin and I notice a difference when I haven’t used it in a few days.
More longtime favorites here to make an appearance! The Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask and The Body Shop Aloe Calming Toner. To wash my face I use the Estee Lauder Perfectly Clean Cleanser. The mask is very, very hydrating and can take time to dry but so worth the wait. The toner is gentle on my skin and doesn’t cause break outs, so that’s been amazing! (My previous one did.) And the cleanser is very efficient and smooth, so I like it.
Any lip balms I can find are lifesavers! Normally I use the brands Lypsyl and Blistex. I’m not too picky on these though!
And the newest additions to my collection, the Ole Henriksen Truth Serum Collagen Booster and the Ole Henriksen Pure Truth Youth Activating Oil. Both have been amazing! I put on the serum first and let that absorb a bit before adding the oil on top. The oil does have a bit of a smell to it that I don’t like that much but it goes away quickly and does it’s job so I can live with that. It feels very nice and my skin feels great after! I normally use these about once or twice a week, before I feel my skin get really dry.
So that’s my winter skin care! Let me know what you use when your skin decides to go all crazy on you in the winter too. I’d love to know!
