My December Favorites!

Hi everyone! We’re so close to end of 2016! Like most people, I’m super excited for the end of the year and to see 2016 go. But before we do, I have to go over my December Favorites with you! I have a good mix of items, so here we go!

First up is my fixed tree! If you were following along on my Blogmas, you’ll know that the top part of my tree’s lights went out and then I had a moment of panic when I thought I was going to have to take down the tree and put another tree up because we were going to have company and you can’t have a half-lit tree for Christmas!!! Luckily my sister went to the store and got a string of white lights so everything was fixed in time for the holidays!

A candle I’ve been burning and loving this month has been this Bath and Body Works candle. The scent is Sandalwood Citrus and it is just amazing! It’s been burning in my home office and for awhile my mom and sister would walk in, sniff, and ask what candle I was using. They finally realized that it was the same one so they don’t ask as often but they still seem to love it!

I have also really loved the L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation. I know I’m super late to this party but I had resisted picking this up for a long time as I have a million foundations. Unfortunately this color is really too dark for me, I have 108 in Caramel Beige. I probably need one or two shades lighter but I just haven’t picked them up. The formula is really good and truly does stay matte.

From the Lorac Alter Ego Lipstick line, I have loved CEO, which is a perfect pink for me! I really, really love it and it has been my favorite lipstick for special days.

In an effort to try to be a little more natural, I picked up a few Tom’s deodorants. Unfortunately I hated the other two that I got but this one, the Naturally Dry one has been amazing! I just ran out of mine and repurchased today.

Continuing on the Tom’s products, I also really love this Antiplaque & Whitening toothpaste in peppermint. It is fluoride free and according to the hygienist at the dentist’s office I started going to, it does work and isn’t just a product that hypes up the natural benefits.

Tamales are always my favorite food, but we’ve been eating so many of them for the holidays! Is it the healthiest? Probably not. Do I really care? Not at all! I love them!!!

I went on a Sephora spending spree to try to make it to the VIB status next year. I think I’ve started to pull away from spending on beauty products but I love the sales as that’s when you can get great discounts on skin care. I bought this Ole Hendriksen set. As it’s a set you are meant to use them together. First is the Truth Serum Collagen Booster and then you follow it with the Pure Truth Youth Activating oil. Since I’m going to be 26 next year I really wanted to recommit to a good skin care regimen and start preventing ageing as soon as possible. I use sunscreen every day, masks on a semi-regular-ish basis (I could be a lot better in this), and use moisturizers every day. This has been a great addition! I do find that the oil has a slight scent, and not a very pleasant one, but it goes away quickly. For me, I don’t mind in the end but if you’re sensitive to scents you might want to get a sample first!

And my last favorite, another last minute Sephora purchase, was this Nest Fragrances Midnight Fleur perfume. I love it so much! It is a much bolder scent than what I normally wear but it’s so much fun to try new scents and explore.

So that’s my December Favorites! Next week I’m going to do my 2016 Favorites so it feels odd to be planning another favorites so quickly but I am excited to look through all my favorites and pick out the best of the best!
Just kidding! Turns out I already did this post, I just completely forgot! Oh I can’t wait for 2016 to be over. You can read my 2016 Favorites here. 🙂 My 2016 Book Favorites will be up on Friday for the New Year!

Let me know what you’ve loved this month!

Thanks for reading!
